Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Meriden

I was trying to give this place a chance but who I'm guessing was the owner ruined it. The people making the food was polite and clean which made me want to come back ,service was fast and food looked appetizing but on my second visit this woman who I guess owns the place shows up just to make herself known as the boss started messing with doors and alarms for definitely what seems to be unnecessary reasons as if to say look at me I run this place then started talking loud to the customers and employees while on the phone and questioning why we as the customers looked confused to what she was doing. Then with her mask hanging off her face and without washing her hands proceeded to head behind the counter to try and assist making food as if the cooks needed help when they didn't. My advice to her is you might own that place but it's not your house so don't ever go straight behind the counter and start talking right over customers food with a mask hanging down and attempting to assist making food without washing your hands . The cooks/ cashiers was great but the owner ruined my experience and I will not return to this waybAck burger in Meriden ct on east main Street . She definitely acts like she don't know the difference between home and a food establishment and needs to show her employees...

came for a late lunch/early dinner. its right on the main road, easy to find plenty of parking and there is some outdoor seating which was nice on a sunny day. they Make a really good milkshake but Not at all a fan of the food. Virtually no seasoning on my food. visually the food LOOKED sloppy and they way they put the buns makes the burgers too easy to fall apart and slop all over the place. VERY greasy, cheap cheap napkins that fall apart. you have to double or triple stack them just to wipe your fingers from all the dripping grease. Half my burger was burnt and inedible. Will not come back. Initially very surprised when I came in and was the only customer, but now I understand why. The person at the counter barely looked in my direction while I ordered and actually pointed down at the card reader when the tip option came up. no thank you sir. We stopped in the other day for lunch. Our food was great but what I'd really like to make a point about is the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, but really went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok. They brought us out our food and even though we ordered the same thing, remembered who had what on their burgers and didn't even have to ask. I thought for sure they just put them down for us to figure out. Nope. Shortly after we got our meals a cook had come out to get something and made sure to ask us how everything was. A little while later someone behind the counter checked in on us as well. Not even a forced question like it's just what they were supposed to do. Both of them seemed very genuine that they wanted to make sure we had a good meal. On top of that our food was made perfectly and was excellent. Great...
