2.3.19- 1115pm- pull up to the drive thru. Me: 2 large mocha coffees Manager: I'm sorry our machine is down for cleaning Me: okay do you have something different but similar to that? Manager: yes a mocha frappe Me: okay I'll take 2 of those large (Then seeing the huge price jump from what I was originally ordering...) I preceded to ask 8f they gave a discount since their machine was down Manager: No, maybe you just dont need to get them!! Me: (caught off guard and thinking she has to be joking) I replied, haha no. Manager: laughing back at me in a rude way Me: not funny Manager: yes I am, and you can just have a nice day!
So I pull up to the first window and I was told at that window that, she was told by her manager that I was to have a nice day and they wouldnt be serving me there and there was a mcdonalds up the road. In total aw I just said you are joking right, I want the complaint number, the manager who is hiding who I can hear yelling to her employee to tell me, this is not a corporate store so it doesnt even matter if she calls that and our district manager isnt in until the morning. So I ask the girl for the number to get ahold of someone who might care and she walks away, then a guy comes to the window and says how can I help you. I said I need 2 large mocha frappes. He said sorry we cant serve you our manager said we cant and have a nice day theres one up the road you can go to. So I said I will sit here and see if I can find a number to call, they preceded to have the cars behind me drive around me to the second window. The 1800 number i found isnt open until the am which i will be calling.
I have been going to this particular mcdonalds since i was a little kid. Other fast food places I have went to or restaurant or any place that has costumer service in any way I have never been treated so poorly. This is a very sad excuse for a mcdonalds and is really putting the name to shame. I really hope they take care of this pathetic excuse of a manager and try to up their business. I will be spreading the word as much as possible so people can avoid being treated like trash by this place. Hopefully they will resolve this problem but from the looks of the reviews they let this lady get away with a lot and really dont care about their costumer service. I will absolutely never be going there again and I will let everyone I work with which has a lot of employees and this is the one we typically go to not to ever go there. Friends and family will also know about this horrid experience, I wish I was told about this before having to deal with this situation. They are right there is one up the road on Jolly and Okemos, they were beyond friendly to me tonight and will only be going there for the future trips. Read moreI haven't been to McDonald's in at least a year, but my son had half of a day of school and that's where he wanted to eat lunch.
We were in around 1/1:30pm. I figured it would be relatively busy because it was lunch time. The drive through (2 lanes) probably had a continuous flow of 10 cars in it at all times. I've heard recently that the drive through takes presidence over the lobby and they have a certain amount of time they must have each person through the drive through from order to completion.
I am unsure if they were short handed yesterday (someone called in), but there were at least 2 people handling the drive through windows, a runner for food, 5 cooks, the manager trying to keep everything in flow and only 1 of 2 registers open in the lobby. When we walked in, there were 3 people waiting for their food, 2 people ahead of us and a couple people behind us in line.
It didn't take too long to get through the line, but it took 10-15 minutes for our egg mcmuffin, hasbrowns and my special order burger. The runner brought our food. He forgot my sons milk and my burger was made incorrectly. He offered to take it back and I said I would do it because they were busy.
So back in line I stood with 2 people ahead of me and a gaggle of people behind me. The manager asked the only cashier in the lobby to start helping with the drive through. Leaving at least 10 of us standing there. One person behind me jokingly said "guess we should've went to burger king, huh?" I stood there for 10-15 minutes waiting to speak with the lady at the register. My anxiety through the roof. Finally, the manager sent the cashier back to her base. The cashier rolled her eyes, frustrated from running all over the place. The manager saw me standing there with my food and came over. I said "this was made incorrectly, you guys are busy and my kid is already done eating. Can I just get a refund?" She very cheerfully obliged asking if she could get me a complimentary shake or something else. I declined, but if it wasnt for how she handled my situation, I would have actually only given 1 star.

Read moreThis McDonald's used to have great customer service at night but lately that has changed. I go here 3-5 nights after work to pick up chicken nuggets and fries for my son and a hamburger for an older picky dog. On my last visit to this McDonald's I had the worst service ever. I pulled up to the drive thru, a women asked if I was using the mobile app. I said yes and gave her my code, the app confirmed she got it. The women then said someone will be right with you. A few moments later a guy came on and asked if I had been helped. I said a lady took my mobile app code but I still needed to order. He told me my code was no longer valid since I already used it (even though I had not ordered yet) I tried to explain I hadn't used it yet. He said well it's been used and I can't redeem the deal. He asked if there was anything else he could help me with. I said yes I would like to use my code for 20%off and order. He continued to argue. I tried to say I am not trying to be difficult and would like to speak to a manager. Then another employee came over the speaker and told me his manager told me to go home. That is the most unacceptable customer service. A manager then came over the speaker asked what the issue was. She was very nice. She ended up taking care of me. All I wanted was someone in the beginning to say sorry we are having a problem with the app let me see what I can do to help. To make the situation worse when I got home and unwrapped the burger it was all wet and something definitely seemed wrong with it. Needless to say I threw the food out.after 4 years of coming to this McDonald's 3-5 days a week I will now never return here. I will go the extra 5 minute out of my way to go...
