Was greeted quickly by Laura, she directed us to the furniture we wanted to look at. We were never followed, spied on or felt rushed. Laura showed us a few different options in recliners and basement furniture. After roughly 45 minutes we made a purchase, again never felt like another number. All in store was perfect and she kept us informed on status of order. When delivery was set up for half the order it went ok, I thought the delivery guys would respect other peoples homes, the first guy never took off boots and brought in on basement carpet unwanted mush and mud, I put down a blanket to try to help prevent more of a mess to clean up, when they brought in couch the first guy pulled blanket with boots and 2nd guy walked right in and on carpet. To me it was not a huge deal as it was quickly cleaned up when they left, but if you have other than tile in basement or house take precautions. Second delivery was same as was on time and they carried recliners up steps to main living room, never took off boots of placed booties on them, thankful we have wood floors and was mopped up after they left. I had always assumed that Pilgrim House was really expensive and more than I’d want to spend on furniture as someone with 2 dogs and 2 boys under 4, I was sorely mistaken. Their furniture is top quality and priced right. I had I walked in the door and was immediately treated like family. Not like estranged family that you HAVE to see at a holiday either, like the good kind of family that you go out of your way to spend time with. Bernie took me all over, showed me everything that met what I asked to see and didn’t waste time trying to “sell” me, but legitimately tried to meet our needs. Pilgrim house was the only place around with furniture in stock and I even was able to speak with the owners who were in the building and clearly invested in their business and taking great care of their people. If you’re furniture shopping, stop wasting your time with the big National stores. Go see the good people and shop small business.
