Dutch brothers started out really good for us. Friendly faces and great prices. Since our relocation to the Treasure Valley in March 2015 we've made Dutch Bros our go to place for coffee on a daily basis. The coffee quality isn't consistent. Understandably not all baristas are created equal but when they reheat old coffee, well that's just simply unacceptable. I drink black Americanos so it's very noticeable when you drink old coffee. My toddler gets chocolate milk as well with each visit and they struck out three times with his drink. The very first incident he drank his chocolate milk and made a sour face. We opened up his cup to find the milk was bad. We were still at the window so they made another drink for him from a new jug. Another second incident I noticed my toddler hardly touched his chocolate milk and he got diarrhea for the next 3 days. My wife and I were determined not go let this ruin our routine with our favorite coffee place and agreed we would check his milk before letting him drink it. And surely enough we opened his chocolate milk to find a slimy consistency. We already pulled out back onto traffic and it was more of a hassle to try to turn around in heavy traffic as their drive through lines were long as well so we didn't go back. Three spoiled chocolate milk and a few bad coffee may not be alarming considering the ample amount of good visits but to have this many issues with the same clients brings in to question their internal food handling policies and procedures. I've seen plenty of times where the milk jugs are just left out when they are busy which happens a lot since they stay busy. They absolutely get 5 stars for customer service but this rating is really about food safety and public health. Hopefully management will see this or better yet the owner themselves and make the necessary changes needed to ensure proper food handling and public safety. The locations we encountered problems with were Linder/McMillan, both locations on Fairview (the one in Meridian and the one as you head into Boise). We have had very good and consistent coffee at the location off Milwaukee by the Town Center Mall. No more Dutch Bros for us unless it's the one by the Mall from now on. This is a sad day for us as we make our decision to end our patronage because we were really big fans of...
Read moreThe drinks I have purchased from this stand have always been accurately prepared and tasted good, and the staff have always been very kind. The biggest problem I have is the speed of service at this particular stand. I have gone in the past and waited 20+ minutes, but all of those other times, there was a long line, so I figured it was just the rush.
However, this morning, I pulled up to the stand, and there were only two cars in front of me, and I still waited over 10 minutes for two drinks. When I pulled up, my order was taken immediately (two blended rebels). I waited behind the other two vehicles for maybe a minute or two while the gal at the window caught up with her friend in the first car. About two to three minutes after I had my order taken, a car pulled up behind me and placed its order. I got to the window and spoke to the attendant, who was very nice and chatty. I expected to receive my drinks within a minute or two of being at the window, but I waited close to 10 minutes at the window before receiving my drinks. I saw the car behind me (that had arrived minutes after my order was taken) had their four coffee drinks delivered to them and left while I was still waiting at the window. I witnessed at least one other vehicle besides the one right behind me leave before I did. I understand certain drinks are made faster, and they want to let these people leave as soon as they can, but I didn't have a big or complicated order, just two rebels. The girl at the window was very apologetic and even said they need to improve the speed of their rebel area, which has been an issue for the 2+ years that I have been stopping by this stand.
I try to avoid this stand when I can due to the wait time, which is unfortunate because it is in such a convenient location for me on my way to work. It would probably take me the same amount of time, though, to drive out of the way to a different location and get my drinks there than it would for me to just go to...
Read moreI probably will not be going to this location again. I realize they were busy, but 2 of the 4 employees I interacted with acted like it was a bother to help the customers. I ordered a medium carmelizer extra sweet, with soft too, and caramel drizzle. The girl who took the order was nice. However, the girl who delivered the drink acted offended when I asked if the caramel drizzle was on the drink. She said no, but she could put some on it. Then, when I tasted the drink, it was not extra sweet. The girl who took the drink back was nice and said they would remake it. Then the girl who gave it back just sat it down and walked away. I asked for a straw, and she gave me a glare and ignored me. The 4th person finally gave me a straw but was rude about it. Normally, I would have just drank the original drink, but I paid extra for the caramel drizzle, extra sweet, and soft top. I want what I paid for. To top off the visit, I'm not even sure if I got a caramelizer in the end. My drink just tasted like a chocolate freeze with caramel in it. This is not the treatment I am used to for a Dutch Bros. I normally get great service from every Dutch Bros that I go to. Next time, I will go out of my to another location. Overall, it's not...
