Took a trip to Boise with the family. Looked on groupon to see if there were any good deals in town for something fun to do. Saw these guys on there and purchased the groupon before we left the hotel. When we got there we were told we could not use the coupon because groupon didn't allow them to use it until 24 hours after the purchase date, but we could call groupon and get a refund and get a refund and go ahead and purchase the races from them there. Fast forward to getting home, the girl at the desk did not know what she was talking about, groupon did not refund. So not only am I stuck with races that I cannot even use since I am 700 miles away but I bought two races for each of us so we could still go while we were there. That is the smallest package that they allow. The girl at the front desk was not friendly at all from the start. She seemed to only be nice to you if you were a regular. She also kept having conversations on her headset which were not work related with the guys that were out on the track. Speaking of the track, it is tiny. With all of the reviews this place had I was thinking it was going to be a large track. No, it was small with a bunch of tight twists and turns. I was sick by the third lap and I don't normally get carsick or motion sickness. When we finished the first race they send you back inside to the front desk just to register for your next race. After asking the girl if there is any way I can get some kind of refund of any kind or transfer the race to one of my family members she laughed and said the purchases we nonrefundable. The concept is pretty cool, but if you are a professional teen kart racer, don't go here unless you have a driver's permit. Took my 15 year old and his racing friend here while we were there for a big kart race in Eagle. The boys even brought their own safety gear and got stuck in the junior karts which the staff tried to reassure were fast. The Juniors were so slow they didn't have to use brakes. Meanwhile there were a handful of 12 year olds driving the adult speed because they had gone through their "driving school." I pleaded with the staff to move them up because it was pointless for them to be driving junior speed as professional kart racers. They could have easily have handled the speed but they wouldn't bugde and when I asked for a refund for the two other races we had paid for, they refused. Needless to say we walked out of there completely unimpressed and disappointed in the experience. My biggest issue is them not willing to provide a refund for the unused races that we got "sold" on as being the best deal. Maybe we'll go back next year when we're in town for another race, but overall the whole experience left us feeling underwhelmed and unhappy.
