The worst service and fast food breakfast around. Shells in the eggs and why were our sandwiches smashed flat? When you get "parked" in the drive thru, is it just us who they forget about... Or is that a thing?!?!
Full story, if you want all the details:
We arrived and were the second car in the drive thru. Our order consisted of two breakfast croissant sandwiches and two coffees. We get to the window and our food is bagged in front of us. Then they discover that they are out of coffee. (At9am?) We are told to park out front and our bag of food is put into the warmer. We were told it would be 2 minutes. We reluctantly pull out front and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. At 4 min I go up to the door and discover it is locked. Two minutes later a mailman tries to enter, and I thought I might sneak in with him... But he is ignored. We had to go so I started pounding on the door and we decide to give up and leave without our food. Just as I am leaving the door opens and I am handed the bag of food and two coffees. No asking about sugar or cream, just a quiet "sorry" under their breath. I said nothing and left. As you might guess, the food has not sat well to begin with and something has clearly been sat on top of them because they are both smashed flat, one at an angle because of is positioning in the bag when it was flattened. To add insult to injury, both eggs were crunchy with white hard pieces that I have to think were egg shell. I used to eat at JITB regularly and enjoyed the croissant sandwiches, but this was absolutely terrible. Read moreSo I went through the drive-thru a few nights ago and as I was sitting there I watched the guy that was bringing all of the orders out to cars light a cigarette every single time he took an order out smoked a couple puffs and then put the cigarette out and kept it for the next time he came out. This was no exception when he brought my food out.after giving my bag to the wrong lady (then walked away to take a few puffs while she looked at the order and realized it wasn't hers) Went back to get the food with the cigarette in his hand and then brought the food over to my car with the cigarette. Still in his hand. Still burning. When I complained about the cigarette in his hands that he was smoking while delivering my food to my window, I was approached by what seemed to be the manager on shift as she was bringing out the other car's food. At the same time that I was complaining about the cigarette to the other guy. They both looked at me like what's your problem lady. Apparently nobody in this restaurant business understands basic health code rules/ violations. I am not in the health code industry by any means, but even I understand how absolutely disgusting that is knowing that the guy smoking went inside for no more than 20 or 30 seconds between orders. Read moreI hardly ever write bad reviews but this location needs the attention of corporate leadership.
After receiving my Door dash order, I noticed half the order was missing and what I did receive was not correct. I contacted the delivery driver and she said the restaurant was short staffed and struggling with other customers who were trying to get their own wrong orders fixed. I drove to the restaurant myself to retrieve the other half and I waited at the register for several minutes while staff looked at me and then went about their business. There were only two cars in the drive through and only one customer in the restaurant so they were not busy. The person who I assume was the supervisor eventually noticed me and tried to help but his attention kept being pulled in several directions. One of the two other staff members working at the time was clearly still in training. He eventually replaced my missing items but it still wasn't 100% correct but more than 10 minutes had passed and I needed to get home.
It's clear this isn't a one-off as even casual observation revealed several aspects of the workflow and workplace culture that needed serious help.
To be fair, the food was good which is why I gave it two stars instead of one but I probably won't...
