It's not all just talk! While easy to miss, this Meridian staple is of the best burger joints in the Treasure Valley! This is one of my go-to's for a mouthwatering, classic burger. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The menu is simple and the prices are extremely reasonable. All burgers are 1/3 pound and come with crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, fresh onion and tangy pickles. My husband and I both enjoyed a Bacon with Cheese ($8.99) with a side of fries and drinks (+$4.99) as well as a small Oreo milkshake ($6.00). Damn, was that burger GOOD. The bacon of was of excellent quality. The cheese was beautifully melted. It truly was a perfect, classic burger. Each bite really delivered a symphony of flavors, especially with a lil dab of fry sauce. The fries were nicely salted and paired wonderfully dipped in the rich, velvety milkshake. Main Street Burger has all the vibes of an old-school, small town burger joint despite being located right in the middle of busy Meridian. I really felt a strong sense of nostalgia and comfort as I enjoyed my meal. The service was top-notch as well. We were given the wrong milkshake (vanilla), but they were so apologetic and willing to remake it, we ended up keeping it. It tasted better with the fries than Oreo would have anyway. 10/10 recommend!

VERDICT: A great place to get a fresh burger and crispy onion rings when you're in the neighborhood. FOOD: The bacon western cheeseburger here is top-notch. The patty is juicy yet had a crisp crust, coated on one side with melted cheese. The vegetables added crispness with a fresh accent of flavor. The onion ring (in the burger as well as the ones I stole from my company) were rich and crunch as they should be without excessive oil. The bacon served its purpose, though I tend to prefer my bacon more of a crisp crumble rather than having the slightest chew, but the burger was no "worse-for-the-wear." The fries were ok. Crisp and salty, not too oily, but done better than average. The onion rings are some of the better I've had in the valley, so my recommendation will definitely be to try them over the fries. SERVICE: Quick and accurate. Solid service. ATMOSPHERE: When it comes to vintage themed/styled burger shops, this one has that feel with limited inside seating adjacent to picture windows, while outdoor seating is also available with umbrellas for shade. I appreciate they don't lean too heavily into it with repetitious, old music, but rather just let me converse in a more quiet setting with my company.

I’m sad to say that this place has lost its charm and quality over the years, and it has gone downhill in the last year or so. I used to love coming here since I was a teenager, but this was the last straw. I ordered chicken strips with tater tots and a burger, expecting the same delicious food I remembered. But what I got was disappointing and unacceptable. The chicken strips were clearly frozen and processed, not the fresh and hand-breaded ones they used to serve. The burger was undercooked and pink inside. The tots had black speckles on them, even though I requested no seasoning, so I can only assume they were burnt bits from the fryer. And the service was slow, even though I was the only customer in line. I used to understand that, since everything was cooked to order, but not anymore. I could have made better food at home with frozen ingredients, and probably faster. I hate to say it, but this place is no longer worth your time or money.

"You can't just eat good food. You've got to talk about it too. And you've got to talk about it to somebody who understands that kind of food." ― Kurt Vonnegut 307th person to review Main Street Burger in Meridian, Idaho on Main Street and Franklin across from the Rite Aid Center. This is my 427th review on Yelp.

If you live in Meridian you've probably driven by this place several hundred times like myself. I've had this place bookmarked both mentally and on Yelp for quite a while and today was the day! I'm glad I went and I will go def go again when I need a good cheapish meal.

A bright sunny day, the perfect weather for outdoor seating, not too hot, not too cold; however, the sun was uber bright but with the Main Streets outdoor covered seating we were kept quite comfortable.

The important stuff that you really want to know, right? The FOOD! Well, it's certainly not 5-star food, but it is a good overall 4 I'm a fan kind-of- place.

The menu: Burgers, fries (sold separately), other sides, taco salads, finger steaks, tots (which I hear are super good), hot dogs, and milkshakes. All average pricing.

I ordered the Taco Salad-- a generous portion of lettuce, tomato, well-seasoned meat, and cheese. Served with either ranch or Italian as opposed to sour cream and guacamole (either would have been fine) and salsa and made in-house tortilla chips, which were seasoned well, but were hard and stale. I ended up throwing the chips away.

Ranch is ranch some say-- well, not this guy! NOPE. However, don't like paying for ranch or other condiments, especially at chain restaurants, but I understand that this is a small business and they do provide a good serving size, so $.50 is fine.

My son ordered a crispy chicken burger. He thought it was good and that's all that matters, but it's three crispy chicken strips placed on a bun. The chicken strips are nice in size, crispy and thick.

My other child got a kids meal and her chicken was super hard that she cut the roof of her mouth on-- the inside was "mushy" but it was replaced without question. Perhaps it was a one-off-- just beware if you have a toddler.

There is a limited amount of seating inside. The tables are small and won't accommodate all body sizes, beware of that.

The parking lot has ample parking.

All-in-all, I liked Main Street Burger. I like the locally owned and operated aspect and would be happy to spend both my time and money...

Bad experience!!!! Went through drive thru ordered 40.00 worth of food. Saved my receipt to call about the issue and then my mother fell ill right after kidney surgery. My dad found out he was going in to a heart doctor cause his heart is only pumping at 35-40% and my husband was fighting the winter storms to get home from Portland. Yes, I had more important things on my mind, like family health. And Yes, it was a few days after, I will admit. But in my defense, I wasn't calling for free food or asking for a refund. I just wanted them to be aware of their packaging of their food and that this was the 1st time I ever got terrible food!Their quality was bad! It was my favorite burger place till this. Called in got a young man who was their manger who preceded to question my issue and then question why I waited four to five days to call back about the problem. But if you received 2 large onion rings that were placed at the bottom of the sac and all 6 dry burgers on top of the onion rings . What would you say your onion rings looked like? Mush!!! Soggy!!! Cooked sauté onions with mushy breading in oil? Oh yumm! Family refused to eat them! I kept telling him I wasn't looking for a refund or free food. He kept asking me why I waited and why did I call and ask for the owner, after I've repeatedly told him I wasn't expecting compensation. Didn't expect to be guilted in my wrong doing for taking to long to call them back. So sorry Mr. manager if you felt me asking for your boss that I was jeopardizing your job. Was not my intention to make you feel like I was out to get you. But I'm sure if anyone else would have gotten their food and paid 40.00 for it, I'm sure they would have called you also. As for my family, friends and I, you sir have just put a bad taste in my mouth. A simple thank you mamm for letting us know and we will address the issue would have gotten you more bees with honey than vinegar... A Christian...

WOW! This was NOT what I was expecting! From the outside, it looks like your run of the mill burger joint that has been around a long time. I was expecting an average and potentially overpriced burger.

Holy cow meat Batman, this place is spectacular!

The price was reasonable and similar to what you would pay at a 5 guys, but the comparisons stop there.

My burger was super fresh, the meat seasoned, and unlike 5 guys, my burger wasn't smashed down flat and my bun was fluffy and fresh.

The fries I ordered were also cooked to perfection, exactly how steak fries should be. Thick, soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside.

The ONLY thing that was a bummer that I am not even going to penalize them on, was there were about 5 employees working there at the time, but none of them were over 21 so they could not sell me a beer to enjoy with my food. They even advertise on their website that they just recently started selling beer, but I was unable to get one.

The friendliness of the young staff, their courteous and talkative nature, the customer service of everyone there just blew my mind. Hope isn't lost on the youth of today, these individuals were top notch! Kudos to whomever screens and hires personnel, you do an excellent job.

The place was also decked out with pictures on the walls of old muscle cars that apparently the original owner had worked on and restored in his lifetime, VERY COOL!

Overall, an amazing experience and I will 100000% be back! As far as I can tell, this is the BEST burgers in Meridian, MAYBE in all of Treasure Valley from what I have witnessed thus far.

Keep it up...
