I went to this Jimmy John’s last night. The cashier took my payment touching the register and my payment and immediately began touching the bread dough. Didn’t wash his hands and didn’t put on gloves before touching the dough. Then he walked over to the food line and I couldn’t see what he was doing over there. I asked the girl who brought me sandwiches to me to just refund my money, as I no longer wanted the food and told her I wanted to speak with a manager. Then she informed me that the guy who took my payment and then touched the dough was the manager. I let her know I would call the store manager the following day. I just tossed the sandwiches. When I called to speak with the store manager he stated that that’s not how they do things, but just so I knew the dough is cooked at 400 degrees so it would take care of anything he touched. Ok, what about all the other surfaces?? Then he proceeded to help me with my refund after repeatedly informing me that it would have been easier to have just taken care of it last night, with the manager who was the problem. The fact that a manager was handling food this way is very concerning. The fact that the store manager was rude, unapologetic, unconcerned and full of excuses is even more upsetting. Read moreI don’t live too far away. We used the app for “PICKUP” and ordered 3 sands and 3 chips with one drink. We arrived to find the delivery driver took it out and attempted a delivery to a wrong address. They admitted the mistakes and 10 minutes later, our food arrived. They offered a medium drink while I waited but gratefully declined. After the food was repackaged, finding 2 sides were wrong, I returned to the counter to ask if our straw was in the bag. The manager assured me napkins and straw were already in the bag. He failed to notice the order was re-bagged and lacked these small essentials. The reason for the rating isn’t so much the confusion of how the order was to get to us, or the errors within the order. It simply was the lack of effort to make it right. There was one family of 4 at a table, one lady at the counter getting a free punch card sandy and one gent in the drive thru. Not setting any till records here tonight or table turns. No reason they should be so discarding of an incident and act like they are too busy to care. Yeah, they’re young, and yeah there will be mistakes. I would not have left a 2 star review except for the manager I spoke to today was curt, borderline rude and a bit unprofessional. I absolutely understand that places are short staffed and it is hard to get good people but you don't need to tell me how many people called out from work today. When I told the manager that my last order took a very long time to get here as well because the guy delivered someone elses first and I am right behind them, he told me everyone is right behind him. I explained that I was literally in the same office section and he said "Well get it to you when we can." I order here because sometimes I only have a half hour from the time I order to eat before my next client. The last time I called in the manager I spoke to was great and very apologetic and said that yeah mine should have been delivered first so I was fine but this is now the 2nd time.
