Lovejoy's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Meridian

Ice cream is all I want to eat during this insane heat. Seriously, I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between. And yes, it could all be from Lovejoy’s.

To begin, I love the shop’s name. The owners are one-thousand percent passionate about spreading both love and joy through their product. I’ve seen several ice-cream shops pop up in recent years, however none bore a name such as Lovejoy’s that caught my attention and delight. The name just sounds happy and we could always use a more of that. :)

On to the goods. The ice cream is made is small batches right in the shop in all kinds of flavors. The first one that will catch your eye is Avocado. I sampled a little and YES, it does taste just like it, albeit I was more in the mood for something nostalgic. I decided to go with a small Butterfinger and dang did I choose GOOD! The ice cream is super creamy and packed with candy pieces and chocolate in every single bite. It was incredibly rich, smooth and refreshing! My size small was more than enough for two servings. It saved very well too. I stuck it in my freezer for 24 hours and it tasted just as great!

I plan on poppin’ into Lovejoy’s again very soon to work my way down their huge menu! I recommend...

(...so much so, that when we were informed that they're opening a New, SIGNIFICANTLY closer -to our home- location, we flat out said, "we're good. We're gonna keep coming to this Overland shop, y'all are incomparable. Why would we change locations if This One is as phenomenal as it is?!")

Lovejoy’s Real Ice Cream ⭐️⭐️⭐️

On 7/31/21, I tried Lovejoy’s Real Ice Cream in Meridian for the first time. They have a nice mix of traditional and nontraditional flavors, as well as a couple of vegan flavors. I tried a scoop of Banana Cream Pie ($4). I liked it. Is it the best ice cream I ever had? No. I like that they have this particular flavor, which most places don’t, but the scoop was a bit small for the price and it wasn’t as creamy as expected. Even so, it’s a cute place and definitely worth checking out. I was there around 8:30 PM on a Saturday night and it was busy. They have two different sizes of ice cream flights. You can also buy fresh honey from the owners’ beehives. I look forward to returning and try and more flavors.
