My fiancé and I have eaten here twice in the last 3 weeks and debate making Sid's Garage the location for a routine monthly date night. Sid's Garage is a true gem and delight to the palate and each time we've come here I cannot help but rave about how delicious the food is.
We've eaten at many celebrity chef restaurants including Nobu, Dune by Jean-Georges and Fish by José Andrés and Sid's Garage is up there and honestly better than most of them. It is a true pleasure and delight to eat here. There is spectacular showmanship with many of the menu items such as the Stairway to Heaven having a meltaway cotton candy to create the cocktail and the Boss Hog burger being served in a smoking wooden chest. The presentation of the food is so spectacular you'd think it was to compensate for the flavor, right? Wrong. Not only is the food visually perfect like something you'd see in advertisement and marketing, but it is without a doubt some of the best food you will consume, and the food is of high quality. The menu is curated with care and clearly prioritizes flavor. Even the boozy shakes are created around the base flavors of the alcohols used instead of simply dumping booze into any basic shake. Even the cocktails are delicious which is a pleasant surprise. I am very impressed with whoever is putting the menu together and I am certain they are a culinary genius.
Sid's Garage has a very alternative style and theme. The front doors have gas pumps as door handles. As such you can expect to hear them playing music from Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and the likes. It is somewhat loud if you are seated near the kitchen but if you are on the opposite side of the restaurant the volume is not an issue. This is probably due to the location of the speakers. It is a medium sized restaraunt and if you dine in you will more than likely end up sitting next to other patrons. Unsurprisingly, this is a very popular establishment and garners a lot of diners. You may end up waiting half an hour for a table, but it is well worth it. The establishment has been exceptionally clean and well kept the times we have visited, including the bathroom. There is only the single bathroom so it is not uncommon for there to be a line to use it.
The staff is very friendly and pleasant to interact with. They make the visit to Sid's Garage a positive one from reception to getting the check. We will definitely be coming back and look forward to our next visit. 😊
We recommend the truffle/parmesan fries, Boss Hog burger, Maui Wowie burger, Death by Chocolate, Stairway to Heaven and...
Read moreEdit: review changed due to all of my initial concerns being addressed and actual changes implemented by the restaurant since my review.
This place is delicious!!! Best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The burgers are thick and juicy. The shakes are great. I look forward to eating here every time I do, and I've been here several times since my initial poor experience to have my opinion fully changed.
I'm very happy with this franchise and love everything I've eaten. My single only complaint is that I do wish the music was a touch quieter, but overall, this place is a huge win.
Initial review summary: Truthfully, we weren’t even able to enjoy a meal here due to the complete lack of both preparation and structure they have set up to accommodate a Wednesday dinner rush. It was honestly a terrible disorganized attempt at running a restaurant. I’d have give it zero stars if I could. Initially tables were first come first serve, you had to run your own order to the counter and pay after you were self seated (leaving your table unguarded), no staff oversaw the seating assignments and no waitresses were involved, only bussers clearing tables and hostesses at the door to organize the first come first serve line and direct people not to order food unless they were already seated. If you were there on your own and went to the bathroom you would lose your table. If you went to order, you could lose your table.
Response to the owner reply, from prior management: Your management has since changed the way your seating functions, and as such, I'm amending my review to not include criticism for that section. However, I will leave the following to address the concerns by the staff regarding our disposition at our time of service.
Nobody in my party was rude to anyone in your staff. We kept to ourselves for the duration of our attempt at getting seated, before placing the menu back in the menu holder and leaving. In fact, I believe the only sentences said to your staff was "there aren't any tables" when reminded for the 4th time that we should grab a table when one opens up. -end of reply-

Read moreI have been eye balling this joint for a hot minute! I have seen photos of thier over the top shakes and candied bacon. They have such a fun vibe so of course I wanted to celebrate my birthday here!
Walking in, the music was loud! I love a chill vibe. I see my party sitting against the wall so I told the host in the front that I see my party. Our server did get drinks started for the others. He finally came back to check up on us. I got me a lemonade to sip on. Our last person showed up finally and we ordered dinner while she was looking over the menu.
For dinner I got tempuraed green beans and candied bacon. The greens beans came in a shoe but they took the shoe away. My bacon was neatly hung and charred by a different server. I thought that was neat. The green beans were tasty! The batter did have good seasoning to it. I honestly wouldn't call the batter tempura. To me, tempura is light and airy. This batter was not. It had a thickness to it. Some of my friends didn't like the sauce that came with it but I enjoyed it! The bacon was very very very tasty! I love a great savory and sweet combo. I recommend the candied bacon for sure!
For a fun joint, I am surprised they don't do anything for birthdays. My friend asked our server if they do ice cream or cake for birthdays and his response was "if you want to pay for it". Kinda tacky and such a great way to dampen the vibe. I served for many many years and I always made it a point to make the birthday person feel special. In today's case with my server, we didn't have the same ideals.
If you're looking for a fun local joint to eat at that's loud and fun, Sid's is your joint. If you're looking to celebrate your special day than I probably would go somewhere else. I had such a fun time till my server made me feel like my birthday it wasn't important. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably won't be back. I'd rather go somewhere where people feel special on their birthdays! Not just a tip at the end of their...
