Poor experience for first visit. The prices are not same prices posted online. online says $9.99 dinner buffet Mon-Fri.
We go in and it says $12.99 Dinner Buffet Mon-Fri. When you first walk in there is no staff showing you to sit or pay first, (as i been in Chinese buffets that either pay first or seat you first). Go in and im lost, until some say "you order here", and we got two dinner buffets, he said "drink?", we ordered one water, one soda, he said "two soda?", we resteted one water, one soda, he said "two soda?" again, so language barrier starting already.
After ordering the guy walks away, i'm standing there .. do i seat my self or wait for someone show me a table? Someone in the kitchen says "seat!", so we found a table for two, and a waitress/server shouting 5 feet away at us "NO! SEAT HERE!" and placed us in a booth but the people behind us got to pick their seat... she seated us, walked off grumbling, came back with our drinks and walks back off grumbling under her breath. So myself and the other person I took to dinner went to get our food, some of it was dried or soggy. Server grabbed my cup that was half empty and filled, didn't ask me if i wanted a refill or what i had. I ordered Pepsi at the counter, she refilled with Dr. Pepper... grumbled walking off. When she took our empty plated, it was always a grumble,
The food at the buffet were labeled wrong, the butterflied shrimps were pounded shrimped and poorly breaded dipped shrimp, it all tasted like premade frozen and warmed up in a microwave food.
Finally, when she handed our ticket, she just flopped it on the table and grumbled off, no 'thank yous', no 'how was your meal', just grumbles and walk offs. and twice we told her two separate tickets. I pulled out my card and placed it with a receipt and she picks it up, grumbling, comes back with a receipt, flops it on the table and grumbles off. there was no pen to sign the receipt. I signed the receipt and left.
I will not be going back, poor communication from the start, i understand servers have bad days, but their service to the guest reflects from that to where the guest have a bad experience.
To the restaurant: update your website prices, correct your food labels, "smile", communicate better, "Thanks yous" and "how was your meals" rotate your food (this a health department requirement),...
Read moreTook my mom here to eat today. The staff was rude right off the bat but I wasn’t super worried about that, not always a good time but stuff happens. We went to grab a plate for the buffet and there was old food stuck on it. Mom pulled it off and thought maybe that was a mishap and went for a different one. We started analyzing the plates and there were multiple in the stack with what appeared to be old food stuck on it. To our utter shame we just kept looking till we felt we found clean ones and just blindly prayed. The food didn’t look bad at first glance which gave us hope, but my mom pointed out that she didn’t feel heat coming off the food at the buffet tables. When we sat down to eat the food was not even lukewarm and some things that should have had a crisp were like soggy. My mom loves shrimp, she got some “fresh” plain shrimp thinking that would be the safest option. After eating like 4 shrimp she noticed that the shrimp had black spots on it and showed it to me. Right about the same time a waitress was coming with the check. She just blurts out the price and nothing else but I had questions. I had my card in my hand and mid question she grabbed it from me and walked away. I was told it was $21 even but she charged me a little over. I’m keeping that receipt in case any funny business occurs with my debit card. If my mom gets food poisoning this issue will be escalated lawfully but for now just a review. Wild experience. Will never visit this establishment again and I’m honestly shocked they are still...
Read moreI had really hoped the recent reviews on the service or lack thereof weren't correct; but will have to agree that the service was poor from the moment we walked in. As we stood at the entryway as the gentleman seated behind the counter was busy on his cell phone, it took us getting his attention and even then we couldn't get acknowledged, just a nasty stare as he hollered for someone else to seat us. We finally get walked to a booth where the gentleman asks what we want to drink; but after the server walked up they started talking about some drama as we just stood there uncomfortably for about 1-2 minutes until they finished, didn't say anything more to us and walked away... So as you do, we then helped ourselves to the buffet. While there was plenty of options, you can certainly find more and better options nearby. And the sushi was rolled the size of a dime with primarily rice and looked like the worst sushi I've ever seen. As we finished our meal, the waitress came back for the first time to ask us about refills; of which we passed and asked for the check. She dropped the check and walked off. I assumed as with most buffets, you paid up front with your ticket, seeing as she provided no explanation. As I stood up with check and my card in hand she hollered from half way across the restaurant that if I was ready I pay at the table. I give it a 3 star soley based on the $10 dinner buffet price tag for edible food; as long as you're not banking on sushi. Everything else about this place is...
