Let me start by saying that I have loved Taco Bell since I was a young whipper-snapper. I loved it so much that I worked there for a couple years in high school. I ate it every day and to this day, I'm still not sick of it. That being said, I was going to a different Taco Bell (one nearer my house) for a while and was about to give up on it.
That other Taco Bell almost ruined it for me forever. Taco Bell--the greatest restaurant on the planet ruined by consistent bad experiences... I had to branch out. I had to try something. Taco Bell had never given up on me, so I couldn't give up on Taco Bell.
In college when I only had $1.26 in change that I could dig up from the floorboard of my broken down 20-year-old Honda Civic with no exhaust--who was there to fill me up in exchange for that dirty, grimy, nasty handful of nickels and pennies? It was Taco Bell.
SO, I branched out and drove a little bit further to the Ikea Way Taco Bell. Even after all the pain and sorrow that I went through with the lesser Taco Bell, when I went to the Ikea Way spot, it was like meeting up with an old friend that you've not seen for many years and finding that you haven't missed a beat.
The Ikea Way Taco Bell is everything. I order on the app, and leave my house. It's a 6 minute drive, and by the time I've gotten there, every time I've ordered, it's always been ready and nicely bagged and marked with the custom order stuff. I've always gone on the weekends for breakfast, and the people who work there on those days are absolutely the sweetest fast-food employees on the planet. They are always happy and smiling and seemingly glad to be there.
I get that it must be hard to run this sort of business as a manager of a fast-food establishment. I'm sure it's hard to get in good people when most of your potential employee base are people in their first jobs and youngsters and such, so I always give them grace, but I just don't understand how my previous Taco Bell could be so bad and the Ikea Way Taco Bell is just so absolutely incredible.
Great job, Ikea Way Taco Bell! I'll see you for breakfast...
Read moreThis is by far the worst taco bell in Kansas city. I do utility work for years all around KC. This is in middle of my new work area and I will NEVER go back ever again. Half the time I go here they mess up the order and/or are rude. My most recent experience that pushed me over the edge I ordered a breakfast quesadilla extra sausage extra egg and extra cheese with a side of sour cream through app. Pulled to drive thru and told lady plz don't put the sour cream on the quesadilla have it on the side. They ended up putting the extra egg/cheese/sausage in little cups on the side in a separate bag. I parked and walked in to get it fixed and the lady lied saying, "he said he wanted everything extra on the side". So a little argument and they finally bring me another quesadilla I went to QuikTrip across street opened quesadilla there was almost no cheese and bacon instead of sausage. I drove back through drive thru and said the issue this isn't right. Little liar lady tried saying I ordered bacon I pulled up the app to show her as she's claiming her screen says bacon. I hold my phone out to show her the app for about 10 seconds she glanced at it finally and said, "I can see it right up here.". I at this point frustrated yelled, "on the same screen you JUST tried to tell me says bacon?!". She proceeded to tell me, "ok we will make it one more time"... Just wow the absolute worst customer service at this place I'm never going back... These are the ppl who think they deserve $18 per...
Read moreI ordered from the mobile app Saturday and came in late about 6 minutes to pick it up inside. I wasn’t told why I didn’t have my order ready and had to wait about 10 minutes for them to get my order. Mind you, I ordered 7 burritos and 4 tacos. I got 4 burritos, a cheesy melt, and 12 tacos only because they said they made extra and were sorry. Well, I listened to them yelling at each other and learned some guy passed out my order to some lady who ordered 3 items. One guy literally stood there doing nothing the entire time.
Forget that mess. After I ate some of the food, I felt funny. Night passes and the next morning, I’m vomiting up the little bit of pineapple I ate. I spent the rest of the day with the most painful headache ever, almost unable to breath, and having the most vicious diarrhea I’ve ever experienced. I actually thought I was going to die, but I was too delirious to even reach for my phone and call for emergency services. All my focus was on emptying my bowels and trying to breath.
Would never eat Taco...
