Donut Worry Coffee & Smoothies — Restaurant in Mesa

I live close by and have frequented this shop less and less over the last 7 years. The main baker lady greats me cold like she does not know me even though I used to go multiple times a week every week for the first few years I lived here. Every time I would order she would try and correct me and want me to say things a specific way. The order isn't listed that way on the menu so every time I would go in there I would just say it wrong and she would get pissed off at me. I'd rather go to Dunkin where they are at least required to be friendly. They don't make enough of items frequently, I can hardly ever get what I want to order. Given the staff's attitude sometimes I wonder if they just don't want to go into the back and grab me some. I don't have a problem with this when the owner is there or another staff member besides the main baker. They leave the items out at the sandwich bar so everything dries out, I can't hardly chew through the bacon it's the worst sandwich experience. That is if they even have enough croissants to make me a sandwich. The prices have increased exponential since I moved here I really want to support a smaller shop over a big chain like Dunkin but the food quality is poor and the service is disappointing, I just rather go with a cheaper friendlier option. If things ever change with the rude baker I'd be happy to change this review and start visiting the shop again. I'm sad because we own a home in this area, I drive past this...

Stopped in after picking up my eyeglasses next door at Nationwide Vision. Took home a half dozen donuts and a cappuccino for the HuzBen. My first thought after picking up my Boston Cream donut was, "Good God! This thing weights a pound." Well, it didn't actually weigh a pound but easily the beefiest donut in recent memory. Probably 4.5 ozs. Their donuts are the size that famous chain donuts made in the '80s before everything got smaller and pricier. These tasted fantastic. HuzBen loved his coffee and raved about his buttermilk fritter. Coincidentally, I know someone who used to work here. I messaged that person and confirmed that yes, these are made on site every morning. They are hands down better than any of the 3 national chain donuts places in the Valley. HuzBen just requested we get donuts from here next month for his birthday instead of his usual cake or pie. Do you really need anymore praise than that? Disappointing.

When I first starting going here the service was exceptional. Everyone took care in the presentation and cleanliness when handling the food and tendering transactions.

Today was very disappointing. The girl taking my order stuck her bare hand inside the paper bag; didnt even wash her hands after tendering someone else's transaction. When I asked her to wash her hands and give me a clean bag she had this look like she didnt understand what I was saying and why I was asking this. She did clean her hands but still was putting her hands inside the bag. This happened 3 times.

To make matters worse, half my order was wrong which I did not notice until I got home. I ordered the chocolate covered cake donut, not the chocolate chocolate covered cake donut. I was also given an apple crumb donut when I specifcally asked for apple filled. The boston cream donut was dry and had very little filling, about a teaspoon size amount of filling.
