Filiberto's Mexican Food #68 — Restaurant in Mesa

READ THIS: I have grown up in this neighborhood and have always eaten Filiberto’s and Mexican in general. I was so excited to have one literally across the street. Please do not judge Filiberto’s from this place. Please don’t waste your time throwing away your food you might be tempted to get here. In the most honest and REAL review I have ever given (I’m not even upset, I just am confident that I can help you here), just go a few lights down in almost any direction to a different fili B’s. This place hasn’t improved since it began. I am not wanting to hate on this place because I retry it at times and at different times of day and rarely, it’ll actually be edible. This makes me extremely curious about business because I feel like it has been good for a period of months here and there but only for say a night shift or morning. So I can only guess that it’s spotty hiring of cooks that are good vs hiring just anybody. Unfortunately this place has consistently shown to always try or at least negligently hire cooks that just know the basics of microwaving food lamps. I can honestly tell you with confidence that I am the world authority on this specific fili b’s and will keep sampling them periodically to update review once I see them make something edible for at least a night and day crew twice in a row haha. Don’t give up here, things constantly change but I do have to leave this review as a personal courtesy to people that it is best to go down the road for a better run fili b’s. I am EXTREMELY upset about the order I placed, and the order I received! After an 8.5 hour shift at work on my feet I hadn't eaten ALL day and after a quick stop at Walmart I stopped through the drive thru of Filiberto's @ Crimson/Baseline and ordered my favorite, Texas burrito. There was no one ahead of me in the drive thru yet I waited over 5 minutes for my food. I drive straight home which is less than 10 minutes away. Imagine my surprise when I cut my burrito in half to discover it was a BREAKFAST BURRITO!!! (Eggs/cheese and what seemed to be sausage) I immediately called the store, (3 times) but got NO answer! You see where it says on the bottom of the receipt that I must return the WRONG food the same day? Well I'm NOT driving back up there when it wasn't MY mistake! You can't even get an answering machine! This used to be my favorite Filiberto's as the on @ Sossaman/Guadalupe isn't open 24 hours and I work until 10 pm. Well NOT anymore! I paid almost $10 for a burrito I DIDN'T get and no one has the courtesy to answer the phone! I want a refund AND a replacement of the burrito I was SUPPOSED to get and paid for! I did eat half of the breakfast burrito I received, and although it wasn't bad, it's NOT what I wanted or paid for! I don't know how they could make such a huge mistake when they weren't even busy! I wonder if the person behind me that probably received my Texas burrito is as upset as me!?!?
