When I first saw there was going to be a Popeye's 3 min from my house, I was ecstatic! I've been to other locations and enjoyed the good. The first week or two after they had opened we decided to give them a try. Unfortunately they were slammed. I decided to stay in the drive thru for pure convenience of not getting out of my car. I placed my order which included 4 meals all of which were chicken strips or fish dinner. Sitting in the drive thru alone took me 20 min. I finally pull up to the window, pay and start to drive and check my order as I always do. They gave me 3 sandwiches and a chicken meal. So I went in and explained they got my order wrong. The manager took my receipt to fix the order (which I never got back) and came back with a bag of food and said they fixed it. I took the bag to a table to check it. Again the order was wrong. I walked up to her again and explained that I did not order any sandwiches so I should not be getting sandwiches. I gave her the paper that I was reading my families orders off of. I told her that was what I needed. She allowed me to keep the wrong order and personally made sure my order was correct before handing it to me. I chalked this huge error up to them being absurdly busy. Which is understandable, I used to work both retail and in a pizza shop, I know how it can get.
I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt last week. They were DEAD when I pulled in. One person walking out of the store, one in the store and I was the only vehicle in the drive thru. This time I wanted to try a sandwich (we were unable to eat them because they spoiled in the fridge overnight). I got the popcorn shrimp sandwich as a combo. I got coleslaw as my side. I take my bag and start to drive away. I pulled into Crismon then realized they never gave me the side. Now, they were empty as I explained earlier, there was no excuse to mess up such a small order. So I pulled back in and went inside. I asked to speak directly to the manager. I told her my story about them messing up my order my first visit and how this is ridiculous they are as slow as they are and yet somehow they mess up a simple order. When I told her about my first experience, her eyes widened in shock. She fixed my order and talked to the cook about not placing all items in the bag.
I do not write reviews for ANYTHING and I've encountered some pretty rotten experiences. For this I decided to write a review for a few different reasons. For starters, fast food workers are complaining about the pay they make. They work fast food, it is not meant to be a career. The positions that are mean as careers have higher pay rates and there is a reason for that, they do more work. I work a dangerous and stressful job. I'm thankful when I don't have any marks on me from getting hit or something thrown directly at my head. I don't even make $12 an hour and these people are fighting for $15 but they can't get a simple order correct with nobody in the store.
I will not be returning to Popeye's after my horrible experience there. If I could put zero stars, that would be their rating. I told the manager that and the only thing she had to say was "I'm sorry." Apologizing doesn't fix the problem. Clearly if it's happening during a slow period then it's...
Read moreMy husband and I were in the drive thru. The manager on duty handed usfood never acknowledged us. We sat there for a couple minutes and asked is this everything. She didn't even turn to us with her back turned she yelled yes and waived her hand . When we got home we were missing half the order. I called and spoke to manager told her I didn't get full order. She spoke over me and told me bring all the food back. I said that's ridiculous I fed it to my children I just want the food I purchased that I never received . She gasped and smacked her lips and said we will give you chicken . I said I want the chicken that I paid for and the large side . Brought my receipt in and she told her employee don't give anything more and stood over her. I still didn't get what I paid for she gave me three single side items instead She treated me and my husband like we we were the ones that caused the problem. I called next day to speak to head manager and he had me describe the manager and employees like I was making it up. Offered me a three piece. The way they handle customers is unprofessional and rude I feel sorry for the employees because if the employer is that immature and unprofessional I can only imagine how they treat their employees. It's just sad and disturbing that they could have resolved the issue by a simple apology and give me the food I paid for but instead insulated my character and I had to prove that I was telling truth by telling them what time I was in drive thru and what they looked like...
Read moreThis location needs a serious adjustment. Management, staff, food, literally EVERYTHING about this store is terrible. It’s dirty and you can tell the people staffed here have zero investment or pride in their work. Reading some of the other 1 star reviews I can completely relate and agree with. Ordered chicken nuggets, paid for my order (dine in) filled our drinks and sat to wait. The guy taking our order came to tell me they were out of nuggets. A chicken restaurant out of what they’re known for serving. Ok. He did offer tenders, but this is the third awful experience I’ve had here, so I just asked for a refund. Staff is clueless, walk around like zombies, and never greet or treat customers like paying patrons. (And this “fast food” is anything but inexpensive). Manager on duty, Gisele, is rude as hell. She met my request for refund with attitude, AND she wanted the drinks back that we’d been drinking out of, just to throw away. Cool. I won’t be returning to this location until they do a complete sweep and revamp of staff and customer service. Also watched two mobile order p/u people stand there for 15+ minutes waiting for the staff to figure out what they did wrong and/or find the orders. What a shame. I can tell you I’m not the only individual that walked out of there today completely and utterly dissatisfied and disappointed with the...
