So Saturday night, approx. 5 p.m. me and my wife decide to go to Pita Jungle for dinner. We haven't been to this location in awhile because we know sometimes it gets very busy and seating isn't great. I went inside, to see what the availability of seats were while my wife waited in the car. I noticed many avaiable seats and two booth spots were open. I asked the lady up front if me and my wife could sit in one of the avaiable booths. She flat out told me NO. I asked her why and she said those seats were for larger people so she wanted to save them. She offered me another place to sit and I told her no I'll just leave. I went to the car to tell my wife what had just happened. I was very upset and decided to go back inside to ask for the manager. I was immediately confronted with the same lady and when I asked to speak to the manager she said you are speaking to her. I then asked her for the regional managers number and explained to her that I would be calling him asap. She told me bluntly go ahead. I asked her why she couldn't seat us in one of the avaiable booths and pointed out to her another couple that was seated in one of the booths and did not seem very large. She tried to change her story and replied that if you want a booth you need to call to make a reservation. I asked her if the other couple made a reservation and she told me no but she wasn't the one who seated them. She gave me a hand written note with the phone number to a person named Fabian. I called it but only received a quick message to leave a vocie mail. I actually called the pita jungle office and briefly left a vocie mail there. I was so upset that I forgot to ask for the person who stated she was the manager there. I truly felt I was being discriminated against and will let other friends and family, espcially those of who are minorities, know of my horrible experience. Again a very upsetting experience. I guess it's good to know this establishment does not want...
Read moreWorking there was nothing short of so so when you First get there the female workers who practically ignore you or the guys flirt with you. The management is nice at first but when you get to know them you see the real of the situation the manager Tina is kind and fair but seems to go in the direction of Fabian who smiles in your face but practically goes behind your back. He is much kinder to his Spanish speaking workers but very short if not rude to the others m, the restaurant is much chiller and easy to work in when he’s not there. Not to mention I was told a different amount then what I have been paid. Moving up is difficult you probably need to put in years but the food is amazing but the way they clean isn’t not to mention the guava lemonade. Some of servers there all talk about each other but then act friendly it’s a toxic but functional work environment they don’t value employees and seem to see them as easily replaceable which is not a good mindset to have Fabian and Tina do help out but he needs to work on how he comes across to employees it seems very dismissive unless again you are of his race (Mexican or Latino) I only gave it three stars due to some good employees but a lot of people are leaving for a reason. I also will say while Tina is fair she wants you to go about things her way. They also will definitely go behind your back and Remove you from working to save money and don’t even get me started on the real way...
Read more5 stars = Customer Services. The people who work there are AMAZING. By far the ones who I have encountered are accommodating and authentically kind. With that said, my food is usually on par with the customer service 5 stars but last night true disappointment. The pitas I received were cold. You maybe thinking did you order a cold pita, the answer is no. They were gyros with chicken. Two were bought. I hadn't eaten all day so I suffered my way thru but the other person couldn't do it. So I have half of a pita left from yesterday. There is no way anything was made fresh. The chicken was cold. The pita was cold. The only I expected to be cold was the lettuce and the tzatiki sauce. My food was to go and I tried to justify that maybe I took too long to pick it up. Once again no. I came to pick it up at 9:45 which was the preset pick up time. I would have expected at the very least lukewarm. Either way I would still say this is a great place. This appears to be a rare occurrence. I would chop it up to the fact they were closing soon and the cooks wanted to leave as soon as possible. Would I go back only if I dissect my food prior to leaving to ensure it had the appearance of being freshly made not thrown together from potentially left over chicken or chicken possibly made for there...
