New to the hobby and got my first ball here and it was hands-down some of the best customer service I've ever had in my life.
Went in looking for an 8 lbs ball because my wrist hurt after 2-3 games if I used anything heavier. DJ asked if I'd be down to have him watch my technique a bit to see the cause. He got a lane and free shoes and watched me bowl a game. Turns out I was "pushing" the ball in my swing and it was not only hurting my wrist but making me less consistent with my throws.
After a while I felt comfortable with a 10 lbs ball and he explained everything during the measurement process like where he is drilling the holes so that, when I do eventually start hooking shots, the weight inside would allow for it (and I wouldn't have to buy an entirely new ball). Had me test fit it when done, my thumb was rubbing a bit so he drilled certain parts out a bit more. Ball was ready within 15 minutes and I was able to go right out and try it out for a couple of games within the same afternoon.
At no point did I feel like I was being pressured to buy, just seemed like I was talking to a nice guy that liked bowling and wanted to give me tips. Very rare to see that kind of integrity.
I'm also a gun enthusiast and a lot of those shops will have an older guy there pressuring you to buy his favorite (expensive) 1911 and going off on everything from politics to religion. This was the exact opposite of those experiences.
Can't recommend this place enough. This is how you not only make the immediate sale but ensure that customers want to come back in the future. 12/10, will...

I could not be more pleased with the service I got... From the fitting to recommendations on proper equipment the experience couldn't have been more professional and you can tell DJ is someone who truly loves bowling and wants to share that with the people he interacts with!
Highly recommend checking them out š³
September 22' Update:
These guys continue to be fantastic and go above and beyond expectations every time I'm in there. I got to meet another manager D and I'm so grateful that DJ is still there helping people improve their game. They not only told me about their quick clinics that they offer they also told me about lessons they do and for the cost it seems like it is one heck of a value and I will definitely be taking some lessons from them because they 100% know what they're talking about and are extremely friendly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in about a week ago. One guy was working (seemingly alone). I mentioned that I was bowling more frequently and wanted to buy my first ball, bag and shoes.
I told him I had no idea where I should start.
He told me the Bowlero house balls and lanes are terrible. But offered no insight as to what would be good for me. He certainly wasn't interested in helping a beginner.
I just joined a league at Bowlero and was intending to buy EVERYTHING here... Ball, shoes, bag and any other accessories.
I was also interested in getting lessons from Riley Dempsey (I found his flyer in the pro shop).
I ultimately left empty handed. Disappointed. Frustrated.
I'll be going elsewhere to get outfitted. I'll probably even cancel my league membership and go to another...
