4.5 stars Probably my 10th or 12th time coming to pita jungle. This was my second or third time at this location. They are always almost 100% consistent when it comes to their food and service. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. You can find multiple pita jungles throughout the valley and even throughout Arizona. I believe they are Mediterranean style food with gyros, hummus, and other healthy Mediterranean dishes. The large regular hummus is the reason why we come back here. I think this type of hummus is specific to a region, If I remember correctly. It is so smooth and amazingly good!! The pizzas are pretty good too but are significantly different than What you would expect from a traditional type of pizza. They're thin and seem to be on a pita type bread, but just not as thick as a pita... My favorite is one with chicken and honey. You can't go wrong with almost anything on the menu, honestly. It is also probably the healthiest food you can get while eating out.

I love Pita Jungle but this location is terrible. 2 weeks ago placd an order for pick up and arrived after the suggested wait time of 45 minutes. When I arrived I along with 4 others waited another 35 minutes inside, all while being told they were waiting on 1 more item to fulfill my order. Needless to say I had picked up food for the other half of my family from a different restaurant and that sat in the car getting cold and had to cancel my order as they weren't sure when it would be done. No apologies. Then giving them a second chance I ordered from this same location 2 weeks later via door dash and my cauliflower tacos arrived burned (see pic) and the large dip trio I order came packed in a small container where the dips get all mixed. At this rate why order separate dips if going to mix up?!? There needs to be better management at this location and training.

I debated writing this because we didnt get noticeably sick but others should be made aware for health reasons. My recent takeout order came with moldy pita. While eating, we initially assumed it was burnt spots on the pita due to them being small and we were eating in a dim room watching movies, but as we got further into the bags of pita, it became clear it was mold. If you eat here, INSPECT YOUR PITA. This could just be an isolated incident, but after reviewing the packaging of the pita, I noticed none of them have any sort of dates of when they were made, packaged, expiration date, a use/sell by date, or any other indication of how long the bags have been sitting at their restaurant, so you could be potentially ingesting very old pita.

We went on Saturday my boyfriend asked if they make martinis , the girl responded “yes” so he asked for lemon drop martini. She wrote down martini and asked him if he wanted a shot of lemon drop , he said no that was name of martini , she ripped up the ticket and left . We waited 10 minutes then another young girl came and waved her hand under her kneck as if she chopping off her kneck saying “ I cut her off “ my boyfriend asked what’s that mean she just kept saying ii cut her off over and over so she said what do you want he said lemon drop martini and asked what’s happened to other girl she said nothing and walked away again ugh we were like what goin on , I looked to my right side saw two girls whispering then it happened Mind you I’m the one who suggested we go there he’s never been there . Then another young lady comes Tells my boyfriend “ sir you need to leave he says what and why she said you upset my staff , he said all I did was ask for lemon drop martini the young lady said we don’t know how to make martinis , we would hv to look it up . He said then she could hv said that , then she told him we need to leave he told her you should go no to school and learn how to make all drinks especially when you advertise and hv the glasses on shelf and when your staff reply yes we do and then they lied cuz they dnt . He asked her for manager The young lady said I’m the manager we both laughed of course she was , then he asked for owner and she couldn’t give us a answer so he asked for a fone number and told us they dnt hv one . So he asked for an email which she hesitated but she finally gave it to him and then told us to leave . Which we did . ALL BECAUSE IT TOOK 3 OF THEM THAT COULD NOT MAKE MARTINI SO THEY THEW US OUT ! WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THAT PLACE BECAUSE OF THEIR...

I feel like the quality of this place isn't there like it was when there were fewer locations. (I'm thinking of the original Tempe location, way back.) Even this particular location has kind of slipped in quality over the ladt year or two.

The person taking our takeout order today was very lovely and kind. (No issues there, although several months ago, I heard an employee say something very lewd to her co-worker. Could have been a joke or an irritation over something, but it was loud and public.)

Today I got my usual salad. The chicken in it was not very flavorful, like it hadn't really been marinated at all. I ordered fresh mozarella as an extra and that was the only thing that saved this salad at all. I asked for extra golden raisins, and you're charged for them, which seems a bit hard to believe, since there aren't that many in the first place, they're a tablespoon of hard raisins, and this food is way too expensive in the first place. I believe the pine nuts had some sort of seasoning on them, but it just tasted stale.

The portion size was big, so I guess that's a plus, but it was a lot of lettuce with a LOT of parsley, and not enough dressing to cover it. In fact, even the dressing was kind of watered down, at least compared to what I remember it used to be.

This wasn't the worst meal by a long shot, but I just don't think it is worth 17 dollars (without my extras-I think without them, you'd have parsley flavored stale pine nuts in lemon juice, though.) It may be a while before I try this place again, and I'm for sure done with this salad. It's a shame, because I appreciate the menu options and...

I just had the weirdest experience. I met a friend for dinner at this Pita Jungle. I ordered the nachos with no beans and extra cheese and a side of vegetables. The "nachos" came out as a plate full of chips with some weird sauce on them (not how they are normally made). I called the waitress over and she confirmed they didn't look right. She talked to the kitchen who said the chips might burn because the beans aren't on them. I said "I'll take my chances." I reminded her "no beans, extra cheese." They came out more normal but definitely without extra cheese. The waitress recognized this and took them back again. Then I witnessed her have a conversation with about 5 people in the kitchen. The one I assume was the cook appeared to angrily talk to her while making a crossing motion with his arms in universal "no way" gesture. This went on for a few minutes. The waitress brought the plate back and told me the cook said he had layered the cheese in the chips. So I looked... and there was no layered cheese. She told me that they were willing to melt some cheese separately and send it out to me... I politely asked her to just cancel the order and take it off my bill. The waitress was extremely gracious, apologized and said "I don't know why that was so hard." I gave 2 stars because the waitress was fantastic and I've had good experiences in the past. But the rude lazy cook kind of ruined it...

Edit: Updated from 2 stars to 4 stars because the owner reached out and plans on addressing what occurred. I appreciate them...
