We were meeting our daughter here for some desserts 30-40 minutes before closing last night. My daughter beat us there and arrived at 7:50pm (they close at 8:30). She was greeted by them telling us they close in 40 minutes. Yeah, so what? How long does it take to make a crepe? We were about to find out. The rest of us arrived at 8:00pm, a total of 4 people. We ordered an ice cream, a salty and sweet crepe with regular dark chocolate instead of the salty one, and a create your own, which was basically the same only with milk chocolate and then topped with ice cream. We sat down to wait. There were 2 other people waiting for orders to go, one of which may have ordered online somehow, and then another couple came in, ordered just ice cream and left. After about 15 minutes, they called out a salty and sweet. No one got up to get it, we thought we were next to be served because the other 2 came in after us and appeared to be waiting for to go orders. So I got up to get it and began eating it. A couple minutes later, another crepe was announced and placed on the counter, but not the one my husband had ordered. It seemed odd that they wouldn't make our complete order together and by this time, my daughter and I had finished our crepe, our friend didn't even have her ice cream yet and my husband had nothing. The girls finally realized the crepes they were presenting at the counter were supposed to be for a to go order of 3 different crepes and that's why the guy didn't get up to get it, plus they were presenting them one at a time and he had an order for 3. At that time, I mentioned we were still waiting on an ice cream as well as the crepe and they served the ice cream. At 8:30, there were still 3 orders waiting to be fulfilled, including ours. My husband still didn't have his crepe and the rest of us were done eating. The girls seemed more interested in turning off the lights than making the rest of the crepes for people that had all been sitting there for 30 minutes plus. We overheard the girl calling the manager saying they still had orders to make. Not sure of the voice on the other side, but it was pretty clear she was annoyed that we didn't take her hint that they couldn't make 2 crepes and an ice cream in 40 minutes and we should have left without anything. Then she proceeded to turn the lights out inside the store where there were still 6 people sitting waiting for their orders to be completed. Then they set another salty and sweet crepe on the counter the way I had ordered it, which we had already eaten a half hour prior. My husband detects dark chocolate, and gave up. So we walked out and he never got his crepe with ice cream. We paid $40 for a crepe and a small ice cream and a tip that was completely undeserved. And, my husband got nothing! First of all, I've never been in any eating establishment or other that trys to turn customers away before closing time. Stores and restaurants typically let people in until closing and end up just staying to serve them. I know, I have worked both restaurant and retail in the past. You don't lock the door until closing time and you continue to serve whoever is inside until they're done. And you don't turn the lights out on people you know are waiting on you to complete their order. None of us wanted to be sitting there waiting for them to call a manager and turn off lights instead of finishing our orders. No one expected to be waiting an hour for crepes and ice cream. In the 50 minutes we were there, they were expected to make a total of 6 crepes, one with ice cream on top, and 3 ice creams. And all they were able to accomplish before we left was 4 crepes and 3 ice creams between 2 disgruntled workers who made their customers feel very unwelcome. The crepe we did get was okay at best. I had to pick out several greens from the strawberries that were inside the crepe, supposedly we were served one with the salty chocolate, but there was no salt flavor whatsoever, and they couldn't even get the orders out in a way for a group of people to...

Read moreThis was honestly one of the most chaotic and disorganized establishments I’ve ever visited. It’s clear they need an operations consultant, immediately. The staff behind the counter seemed completely lost, unsure of whose lead to follow or what order came next. As a result, every order took way too long. We waited 30 minutes for just two small cones, absolutely unreasonable. The entire layout doesn’t help either. There’s no clear flow, so people are crowded and confused, standing around waiting because everything is so backed up. A simple fix? Move the utensils to the pick-up area (maybe swap out that bookshelf?). That alone would reduce the mess of people hunting things down. Also, assigning roles would help this place run so much smoother. For example: one person handles all dipped cones, two on strawberry cups, and two others on waffles and crepes. That way, no one overlaps or slows each other down, and everyone knows their job for the night. I’m sharing this not to be harsh, but because this place has potential, it just needs serious help behind the scenes. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. It just isn’t worth the time, effort, or money. First impressions matter, and this one felt like a business card I’d never hand out. I definitely wouldn’t recommend...
