As a regular at this gem of a family owned spot, I have to say the food here is consistently phenomenal! Every dish is a testament to the care and creativity poured into it. The Staff? Absolute rock stars, always making you feel like part of the family. And the owner? Sure, he's chatty, but that's what makes this place so special! His passion for his dishes shines through in every bite, and every story he shares, something you rarely find in a cookie cutter restaurant these days. It's disappointing to see people trying to bring down a small business, especially when it's not about a bad experience but rather because the owner is talking to people they know. Small businesses thrive on community support and personal connections, and targeting them for something as simple as networking or casual conversations feels unfair. If someone has a genuine issue, sharing that experience constructively is valid, but tearing down a business over personal interactions seems like a step too far. If someone talking about their craft burns you out, maybe stick to takeout next time. This place is a vibe, and I'll keep coming back for the...
Read moreRecently dined here with a party of six. Nancy, our server, was knowledgeable and welcoming. She convinced us to try the empanadas as an appetizer (they were delicious). Three of us ordered the Boston Cheese and Steak sandwich. We all loved the large size sandwich overflowing with ingredients on a freshly baked roll. Others ordered the French Dip Sandwich (mouthwatering), Fish and Chips (tasted good) and the Chicken Parm sandwich (fantastic). Everyone was impressed with the large amounts of food as well as the delicious tastes. After dinner the chef, Jay, spoke with us about plans to enlarge the seating area of the restaurant and as well as other plans for the future. He's committed to making this restaurant successful.
We highly recommend the Public Grill for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed. In fact, we look forward to returning to this...
Read moreWhen we entered the restaurant we were Greeted by a personable, engaging waitress. The restaurant had nice air conditioning on a hot day. My drink (a beer) was served cold with a chilled glass. The meal came with a salad which was Cold, crisp and nicely presented with three big croutons symmetrically placed on top. They had one of the march madness basketball games on one of the big screen TVs. There was an acceptable wait for the food, again nicely presented with a flower. The steak tips were 4, 1-1/2 ounce pieces, prepared as ordered (medium) for a reasonable price. The chicken wings had a delicious jerk sauce on them. The only improvements I could suggest would be to wet the glass before placing it the refrigerator thus giving it an ice coating and to update the menu photo of the steak tips because they look bigger...
