This is my final time to eat at Applebee's and if I could give zero Stars I would. I took my elderly mom to eat there and that's where she wanted to go. When we arrived they asked if we wanted a booth or a table and we said a booth. However the seats in the booth were so smushed down that the table was about 4 in below our chins. So we asked if we could go ahead and move to a table. The hostess who was seating us then looked around where there were about 10 empty tables and said " I'm sorry but the waiters for those tables are not here". And she walked away. I thought she was going to see about finding a table that she could seat us at. But she never came back. So the waitress for our area came over, we asked her if we can move she said okay and did move us. She took our drink order which was water and we asked if we could be moved to a different table that didn't have the air blowing on it because my mom was cold. And I was cold as well and I'm not usually a cold person. She told us no she could not move us to a table that wasn't freezing cold. So she left to go get our Waters and we never saw her again. Another girl came by and we asked her if she could take our order and she did. We finally got our food and my mom's selection was okay, she liked it. The broccoli was really good and the mashed potatoes but the chicken breast was absolutely disgusting the texture of it was terrible it was mushy and slimy on one end and tough and overcooked on the other end and the texture of it just was not like normal chicken to me. The whole time we were there we were absolutely freezing, it was miserable. This will be my last trip to Applebee's and my mom said the same thing. The last time we tried to go to Applebee's together they didn't want to seat us even though there were a ton of tables open but it was New Year's Day and there were people in the bar and they told us that we would have to wait until the bar was cleared out to get a table but we didn't want to sit in the bar. I spoke to the manager on that occasion and let him know that they turned us away with half a restaurant full of empty tables and we went to a different restaurant not Applebee's. He was very apologetic and told me he was going to send me a gift card, wanted me to come back and try it again and I never heard from them again. So really there are too many great restaurants out there to go somewhere and spend money on something...
Read moreWe visited this establishment before and things were good about 9 months ago. However it seems that things have changed and not for the better which is pretty sad since the waitress informed us that they had just gotten new management and took on a new GM. The atmosphere environment was okay. They were extremely busy which is understandable. They did have a bar and different sports games were on different TVs so that is a plus for those who like sports. We were seated quickly. After a small delay on our part and trying to decide what we actually wanted, once we ordered our drinks it took quite a while to get them. I ordered one of the blue Hawaiian Long Island iced tea and I must say it was very weak and watery. My husband ordered a watermelon margarita and that one tasted better. He ordered a riblet plate and said the ribs were fine but the freeze could have used some seasoning. However when it came to my food, I ordered the chicken alfredo and I also ordered extra chicken. So the noodles were fine the Alfredo sauce was very bland and watery and to order extra chicken it didn't really look like they put extra Chicken on it. Not to mention I did not receive my breadsticks with my order. After about 5 minutes my husband asked the waitress where were my breadsticks and she said she had forgotten and she would go get them now. The bad part is that my food was already cold at that point so I just told her to bring us to go containers and we would just call it a night. Our total was a little bit over $60 and I felt like that was extremely expensive for the quality of the food and drinks but however we paid and we left with no drama or anything like that. I did explain to the waitress that it was the principle of the thing and that if you order a meal you should get your whole meal together and if the tables order is not ready together then that is on the kitchen and they should make sure everything is together because we didn't order anything extremely hard to make and there was only two of us. Granted I can't understand plates come out at different times if you have a very large group of people but not when you have two people. Overall this time was not an enjoyable visit at all..... And yes we did still tip the waitress because even though the food and service was mediocre, she still only gets paid like $2.13 an hour but the issues I spoke on on this review should definitely be...
Read moreCame on a Monday night table of 10(4 kids and one infant) and was told 45 min wait due to the fact that the veteran server have just gotten a table which we was okay with that(9:30ish)just to get told that we would have two tables instead of one, was still OKAY with that. took her 13 mins just to get the drink order which we was ALSO OKAY with since we was still getting situated. Order appetizers and didn’t get saucers for us to share even though we asked, had to get napkins and silverware from the front which we was okay with STILL. As a server of 5 years I have NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD this bad of service IT WAS NO RUSH. I understand trying to get sidework done and etc while your last table eat but at least can we get a REFILL. 9 beverage drinks and not ONE REFILL even though I asked when at least 4 was needed at once ( NEVER TRIED TO RUN HER RAGGED ON ANYTHING)Wasn’t able to even order drinks before last call due to the fact that she was MISSING.as a server especially being the veteran server that we just had to wait so long due to everyone being new she didn't even come to the table before they broke down the beverage station to see if we needed a Togo drink .Don’t understand why she didn’t come back after two min/two bite to make sure everything was okay. Had to find a manager to complain about the Alfredo being dry,Asked for lemon and Tabasco when order the food that way she could have the time to bring the condiments and etc before the food hit the table.but never came until the food was already too cold. The salad portion was extremely incorrect and just asked if more lettuce could be added and she continued to be rude, I understand being irritated when things have to get comp and manager gets called to a table but lyric honestly you did wayyy too much I honestly never been so upset with service idk maybe cause I’m in the service industry and I know when servers are in the weeds and when servers jdgaf. Hopefully lyric and Lester the manager get their attitude together.still had hopes of taking RELLLY GOOD CARE OF YOU until you started arguing with a 16 year old about her pasta being dry and you lying aabout not having Alfredo sauce. Hopefully this will be my first and last time writing a bad review about a...
