Del Taco — Restaurant in Mesquite

Oh how I LOVE Del Taco! Great service. Always get the order correct! Mesquite location is one of our favorites! The people are so extremely nice and we've never in all their years going there have we gotten an order that was incorrect. When dining in, it's always very clean, trash cans always emptied and bathrooms are always clean too. Which is saying something, because this is right off an exit for the I-15 and next door to a travel center gas station. So I'm sure they get a lot of business from the highway. In those cases usually bathrooms are a little on the ripe side. But their bathrooms have always been incredibly clean and un-offensive. The kid play area, although I don't have little guys anymore, appears to be very clean. There's plenty of room for multiple kids and for the parents to dine inside. If the parents want a bit bigger table they can dine on the other side of the window and see their children clearly. We always love when they have something new or seasonal on their menu. Yesterday June 5th, we tried all the carnitas options. They were very good. In May 2023 they had some other items on their menu. I don't remember what they were called but they were tacos and quesadillas that you dipped in this red sauce. That was really good. One of our favorites is when they bring in the shrimp burritos and tacos as well as the fish tacos. They have so many fun menu items promotionally. Even though we'd love to see some of them year-round, we appreciate the fact they can change them out and still keep so many great things on their regular menu. I must say I was very impressed with the lady who was the manager there. I noticed she was busy filling orders very pleasantly for the drive-through.

Someone inside came to the register to place an order and the gentleman who normally works the front register without cleaning the tables. The manager lady (which I wished I would have got her name,) Walked over and helped this lady and took her order. The lady paid with cash and the manager took the cash and made change. The 1st thing I thought was she is going to now go back to preparing food with the same gloves on that she took the money from which obviously had been handled by hundreds of people. But no she immediately took the gloves off threw them away, and put on fresh new gloves and then began preparing orders.

I walked over and asked her if she was the manager and she politely said yes I am is there anything I can do for you. Her attitude was amazing and I wished I would have gotten her name but she should be commended for what a pleasant and professional individual she is. She is definitely an asset to...

Went inside to order. Due to Covid the inside dining room was close. The restrooms were open and were slightly dirty. The employees cater to the drive up so it takes a bit longer to get your food. Also l, when you order you have to specify Value Taco or you pay almost 2.00 for a taco. This is the first Del Taco I have been to that has employees charge for the more expensive taco, which is a bit sneaky and leaves you feeling a bit ripped off if you don’t catch it.

The food was what you would expect from a del taco. The French fries were hot and they were generous on filling the box. The tacos, despite being over priced were good.

If you are worried about Covid, then I would suggest going through the drive up. Inside you can order but will be in closer contact with people. You are allowed to get your own drink and there are a few places people can sit while waiting for food that are not disinfected after each use. This did...
