stop by here about 9pm. apparently this isnt the star crew. the drink station was out of straws. I stood at the counter for 2 minutes with the crew giving me looks every few seconds before I finally got asked "do you want something?" I was given a couple of straws and my wife told my the ketchup pump at the drink station was empty. I expressed this to the crew member and was ignored.
by now we sat down and waited for our food. this time a crew member brought it out to us, put it at the opposite end of the table from us and said "here" and then disappeared. now my wife got up to go ask for ketchup and was told "oh, we dont fill it once it runs out for the day because we dont know what the next crew will need"....I'm pretty sure they will need ketchup!
on to the food. I ordered a pretty standard Big Mac with no onions and added "2 slices of Roma tomato" for which I was charged an additional .15. not a problem as I am willing to pay for it.....if it was actually on my burger. this little vegetable was missing from my burger. I got a large sweet tea to go with my meal, which was....ok except for the taste of coffee in it and the fact that the expiration tag on the tea machine said it should have been charged at noon this day.
overall, although this is a brand new McD that has only been open for a few days officially I dont see it be the toast...
Read moreIt has been a very long time that we have written a very positive review on any McDonald’s, but today we found the one. This store is in the town of Mesquite, just off the I15 northbound side. We stopped in for lunch on our way home to Henderson from Zion National Park, and we were pleasantly surprised by not only the service but also by the food quality. One thing that has really changed in McDonald’s is the way you order food, with people at the counters replaced by automated computer screens. However, I wanted a special order and one of the employees was so nice that she walked over and took care of placing the special-order request for us. When the food was delivered, the French fries were hot and tasty, and the Quarter Pounders were hot and freshly made, what a difference. Not your typical dried out hamburger patty, that had been cooked 10 minutes or more earlier and just sitting around until it is served to someone in the drive-thru. Inside the store there are plenty of tables as well as additional seating outside in front of the store. Last, the restrooms today are clean and there is plenty of parking around this store. So, special thanks to the McD’s crew today,...
Read moreGenerally speaking the food here is made well and tastes fine. I just happened to have hit a night where the oil change was past due as the French fries tasted funky. Definitely was just an oil issue. The staff work hard and are friendly. Sometimes it can be hard to get the attention from any employee now that they no longer take orders in the lobby. So even if your clearly standing in area that says "please help me" you can go overlooked for a while. However I will say this is a phenomenon that is everywhere I've noticed. I just have worked in the service industry in many different roles and paying attention to your surroundings and always addressing customers who are standing around that you personally haven't interacted with should be asked if they have been helped or need anything. A generational thing I guess and I'll cut them slack because the little window they have to the lobby makes it really easy to not look in that direction. Outside of that lol this McDonald's which used to really be my least favorite McDonald's of all time. Top 3 at least. They have totally turned things around. Orders are correct and fresh and the staff is friendly. Good job Mesquite...
