Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Mesquite

It's a Saturday evening, it's hot , it's Texas. Sonic at one time was a venerated brand, I just don't believe that anymore. Their commercials say one thing their service says entirely something else. The last time I went to a Sonic I had about the same amount of problems I had this time and I vowed I wouldn't go back. So here's how it stands apparently the intercom systems don't work all that well because" chili cheese tots" should not be mistaken for "cheese tots" so the order had to go back and at the time I also asked for napkins which they failed to put in the bag with my order you're not going to eat a messy item like this and not need napkins oh, it's just not going to happen what are they Thinking by not putting in napkins in the bag be cheap but put something in there! And the young ladies that are working there look like they couldn't give two thoughts to paying attention on the job and saying "huh" instead of Pardon Me I guess they were raised in a barn so it took two trips to get napkins cuz she didn't pay attention when I look straight in her face and told her that I needed napkins when she was taking my order back 2 'fix it correctly... look, it's hot it's July it's Texas I'll wait another year before I go back I gave three stars one more than I would have given because they at least fix the order without any hassle other than the fact that they wouldn't pay attention or listen but they...

Oh my gosh, I have been here so many times they just can't right. . Tonight was the icing on the cheesecake (yes, gross)! I had to send my shake back 3 times then my husband literally had to stand there and watch /coach to make a Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake shake. "Yes, all three, chocolate, oreo, and cheesecake." Verbatim and they even repeated it back correctly. The first time they gave me a choc oreo shake, which is on the menu. Also on the menu is oreo cheesecake, but I want a chocolate shake with oreo and cheese cake... ALL 3 IN 1 I cant believe they sent another car hop out to confirm the shake indeed had all 3 ingredients, AND BROUGHT OUT THE WRONG SHAKE.. chocolate cheesecake WHICH IS NOT ON THE MENU , AND IS NOT 3 INGREDIENTS. Instead my husband had to get out and go to inside 🤯

Headsets were down when I visited today, which wouldn't have been a big deal, except that when I ordered my food from the carhop that came to the car and requested both a ranch and marinara for my cheese sticks, she didn't tell me my small order wasn't ALLOWED 2 dips or give me an opportunity to pay for it. Instead, they just brought out the order with the single dip. I could even be okay with that if when I asked the new young lady who delivered my order about it and she went back in to ask, came back with "not allowed" and just embarrassed apologies. I would have even been ok with having to pay a little extra for my extra request, that's fine, but I've placed this same order all over Dallas County and have NEVER been just told 'NO.'
