AthleticsFit Healthy Meal Prep Delivery Service — Restaurant in Miami Shores

I have very little experience with meal prep and delivery services, so this is just about individual meals I picked up with them today using TooGoodToGo. While I was waiting for my order to be brought out, I was intrigued by the vending machine at their Miami Shores location which lets you choose and pay for individual meals. All you do is swipe a card, select the meal you want, retrieve it, bag it and get charged for the meal. There are sides and desserts to choose from as well. It's a great system for someone who just wants to pop in a pick a few meals up for the next few days.

I can see how the meals are attractive to those who want a fresh meal service. I got two meals of lean ground turkey with steamed green beans and roasted sweet potatoes. The turkey was seasoned well enough to not have any gamely smell and went with the unseasoned green beans. The sweet potatoes were tender and had a nice cinnamon finish to feel like a little dessert within the meal. I saw the pricing on the meals which begin at $11.99, according to the vending pricing. Their website has more variety, and their premium entrees can go into the $20-30 range. Again, since I do not use meal prep services, I don't know what appropriate pricing is for a nutritionally planned out meal, but it seems steep to have to pay $20-30 per meal for something you're supposed to regularly heat up and eat at home/work. It's hard to sign up for a membership for something you know you can get ingredients for and make on your own for a fifth of the cost. However, I respect the fresh nature of the entrees and clean eating opportunity with little effort on the consumer's part. If the ground turkey meal does have 40+ grams of protein as their website seems to say, it is a big help in hitting macros.
