Today 7/14/2018 Cozy lost a loyal customer. It was crowded as usual and the ownwo gave us a 2 seated table for my daughter and myself. It's a really small table and uncomfortable when once they bring the plates and drinks. I asked if we may have the smaller booth table on the other side but understandably other customers were already getting seated at the table. A server offered me another booth at the other side. My 6yr old daughter and I went. We waited a bit until the busboy cleared and clean out table . The owner came over and asked if we were a party of 2 and I said yes. In an annoyed manner responded that I should've told her before going over to take the big family booth. I told her I'd be more than glad to trade places with the family of 4 seated in the smaller booth table. The server told her it was she who offered our sitting at that particular table. Then the owner pointed at another smaller booth freeing up. My daughter and moved again to that table .The server apologized for the owner's treatment. Another server was assigned to me. She's olive skinned with curly hair . I never liked her service. I always feel like requesting to be assigned by another but I'm not that kind of person. In addition to that, I didn't like the way she treated the busboy when he was trying to be helpful. I then observed that there were other customers seated in the smaller booths as well as the bigger booths .i couldn't help but notice that they were all older than I and Caucasian. I then realized, ok, after today, as a Cuban American Citizen, single working.mother, I can just take my money elsewhere. I realized that today was not the 1st time I was assigned the server that is not a very good one, nor is it the 1st time imI treated in such a manner when it comes to seating, and the food is really not that good. I was served burnt potatoes. Medium Well does not mean iwant it burnt. II just simply paid my bill and informed the nice server who had offered us the booth earlier that we will not be returning. For years I've dragged my boyfriend here while he hated the place but my loyalty still in tact. Not anymore! The server was upset because she knows we've been a loyal customer and I tip well (it's a New York City thing)... I realized that all this time I've been tolerant, understanding, fair, and even helpful while I'm the one whose paying. I've only come to Cozy because I've found nowhere else in Miami Springs. There are not too many restaurants to pick here. I think this is the only reason they are still in business! You best believe I will search for one now!
Below was my review end of 2017 (with 4 star) but above is my updated version... It's my spot alone and with family. Friendly owner and servers. I appreciate their having toys for the kiddies. My daughter usually grabs one to keep herself busy as we wait for our meal. The New Yorker in me just loves my coffee refills. Although I'd love to be able to order a Mimosa on those me time days, but they don't have the license to serve this. Suggestion box...
Read moreI Really hoped this would of been another diner I would’ve loved while visiting Florida. Unfortunately, It was top #1 worst place I’ve ever been too. I would NEVER come back here again. My boyfriend and I placed our order and my coffee was cold when it came and I asked to refresh it and it was still cold. Once I got my order (Scrambled eggs w/spinach and grits), it literally tasted like NOTHING. No flavor, so I asked my waiter to take it back and just give me regular eggs. The grits was horrible too. So were done and get our bill and we have been charged for the scrambled eggs with spinach I didn’t eat. So I ask my waiter Why would I be charged for something I didn’t eat and she said she’ll speak to the owner. Owners response was “you ordered it so you gotta pay for it.” So I went over to the owner to ask her what kind of logic is that? Any restaurant you go to if you don’t like the food and don’t eat it they take it off the bill and IF anything you would be charged for the food you order after that. She was so nasty to me she didn’t even apologize and told me everyone else loves the food maybe there’s something wrong with what I like. And she said we have to pay for it because I made the choice of ordering it and she just walked away from me. I have never encountered such unprofessionalism from a BUSINESS OWNER. Everyone else was super nice and they even apologized for the way she was speaking to me. I feel so bad and can’t even imagine how to treats everyone else that works for her. Do not waste your money on this place. It’ll be a waste of time and experience for anyone who cares about customer service and...
Read moreHorrible experience! First time in Miami with my sister to board a cruise. We wanted to get something to eat before boarding our cruise so we decided to come here based on reviews. I ordered the country super starter and asked for my eggs to be fried hard and onions and green peppers in my potatoes well I don’t know what the waitress heard but she brought me one fried egg and a bowl of green peppers and onions. I kindly asked her where the rest of my meal was she said this is what you ordered i said no and explained what i ordered she then proceeded to walk to the kitchen window and talk about me to her fellow coworkers and then told the cook that i didn’t order the right thing so now. I’m sitting there while my egg gets cold waiting for the rest of my meal. She then brings a plate with a little bit of burnt potatoes without the peppers and onions in it i might add have cooked sausages and two slices of bacon oh and i forgot I also ordered a extra side of bacon that i never got. So at this point my appetite is gone i have a cold egg the waitress is running around telling all her coworkers about what happened making me feel uncomfortable. So i just decided to finish my juice and return the untouched meal. It just was a bad experience all around. Other than the hostess the customer service is horrible. I would never recommend anybody to come here nor would i ever...
