So we have been to this location several times! We loved this place. But after tonight we will not be visiting this location ever again. I work in the food industry so I understand all the pros and cons of customer service. So we ordered a glass of wine for myself and my husband ordered a beer.. Then we placed our food order. My husband ordered three rolls. I ordered two and a side order of vegetable rice. My husband got all three of his rolls and I got one of my rolls I ordered and the rice. After my husband got his full order we place another order for a different roll we wanted. They brought it out pretty quickly.. The problem that we had i never got one of the rolls I ordered for myself. When the bill came we tried to explain to the server that we never got one of the rolls. She kept telling us we did but we didn’t. So she walks away and goes inside. I am thinking she explained it to the manager so he or she will adjust the bill. NOPE!!!! The manager came out and was like this server is saying she brought xyz roll and we explained no we didn’t get one of the rolls. We originally ordered 5 rolls and the rice. But there was 6 rolls on the bill but we only received 5. I have never had a manager come and say that the server said this and she is telling the truth. So basically you’re calling us liars without calling us liars. Everyone makes mistakes but when you’re trying to rectify the situation and someone questions the truthfulness of your words, that’s a bit much. So as not to make a scene we paid our bill and went on our merry little way. My advice to anyone that orders from here either record your interaction with the staff or take pictures of your food or else you’ll have a...
Read moreI am so happy that this finally opened. We have eaten here a few times already but in my most recent visit last week, I felt disappointed with the lack of flexibility and what felt like nickle and diming. I ordered the hibachi shrimp lunch which comes with miso soup. I don't like miso soup so I asked to swap it for a salad. I was told I couldn't do that during lunch. I had to ask for the soup to go so I can give it to someone else at home. My sister asked if she can switch the miso soup to egg drop soup. The server said she could for an extra charge. Fortunately I asked what that charge was and she said $7. "The difference in price is $7??" No. The server clarified that an egg drop soup costs $7 so she would just bring that out instead of the miso soup that is included in my sister's lunch. Swapping out a soup for a salad or a soup for another soup is an option that I've seen possible in every restaurant, including other Sushi Sakes. When the 3 hibachi shrimp orders came to our table, I was surprised to see they each only had 5 shrimp. Ok. Fine. When we were done and taking rice leftovers, we asked for a fresh serving of the pink sauce to take home and were informed it would be $1 per tiny sauce container. Our lunch for 4 people was over $100 which would be fine if not for all of the limitations placed on us. It felt petty and soured...
