Una joya! A real gem! Have been coming here since I was a kid. For 20 years, this place has been consistent and nothing short of excellent.
Mind you where they are located... there are another two highly rated (I eat at all 3 of them!) Peruvian 🇵🇪 restaurants all sitting right besides each other. To be here this long, you better be dang good.
But I am going to save it for all of us... here’s the real deal- this one is the most authentic, the freshest and the only one that truly brings me right back to Lima. It’s the food you grow up with, but it’s like the one from Sunday’s at grandmas house.. the really special type, you know?
Like going to a relatives house, have whatever they are making that day.. they have daily menu and everything you have is going to be very good. It tastes as if a group of Peruvian grandmas got together to share their secrets to make the tastiest Peruvian breakfast food I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh. The food did take a while, but it's better than the other Peruvian restaurants in that same plaza (there are two others). The food is well worth the wait. Desserts are also fantastic. This family-run restaurant definitely deserves...
Read moreThe restaurant is in a busy shopping center close to 2 other Peruvian places. I ordered because i wanted to try a new restaurant. The restaurant it’s small, they sell some Peruvian sauces and condiments you can use at home.
I ordered a seafood soup. The price was good, but the soup wasn’t. It barely had any shellfish in it, it had 4 tiny shrimps, a couple of calamari and some tiny pieces of squids! It was mostly egg (they put a whole egg in it and some vegetables.
They should raise their prices so they can put a reasonable amount of shellfish on their soup. The taste was good which means they...
