I am writing to urgently address an unresolved issue regarding our recent hotel stay from May 30to June 5, which was fully prepaid through Booking.com under confirmation number ** Despite the confirmed reservation and full prepayment, the hotel’s front desk improperly charged my personal debit card ending in 25**on each day of the stay, resulting in duplicate billing for the same booking.
To make matters worse, on the scheduled check-out date, the General Manager, Deandre Morris, entered our room without notice and demanded additional payment, despite being informed that the balance had already been paid through Booking.com. His actions were unprofessional, aggressive, and distressing.
In speaking with Choice Hotels customer support, I was informed that a refund of $252.86 was supposedly disbursed on June 6. However, this amount was never received to the debit card ending in . Additionally, the refund amount is inaccurate, as I was charged approximately $400 in total. The representative provided a case ID: 12932* and confirmed that the matter is currently under escalation.
This situation has caused significant financial hardship and emotional distress, especially as the missing funds were allocated for my birthday celebration, which had to be partially canceled due to the unauthorized charges.
Despite several attempts to resolve this issue directly with the property, no resolution has been offered.
We are requesting the following: • A full and immediate refund of all unauthorized charges made to my debit card ending in **. • A formal acknowledgment of the mishandling of our reservation and the inappropriate conduct of the hotel staff. • A written confirmation of refund processing and resolution within 5 business days.
Attached are all supporting documents, including receipts, bank statements, and communication logs.
Please treat this matter with urgency. If we do not receive a resolution promptly, we will proceed with a formal dispute through our financial institution, post public reviews to inform future travelers, and explore legal options if necessary.
Thank you for your immediate attention.

Read moreWOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND!!!! Use that extra money for a better hotel - My fiancé had booked this hotel for us to stay as I was having surgery not too far from the location. Online of course it looked like a good hotel it had good enough space for the both of us and a full kitchen - but what they don’t tell you is they charge if you want to use any appliances luckily I brought an electric stove from home. First impression walking into the room was that it was nice. The area isn’t a bad area either. We stayed for a total of 8 days and 7 nights total came up to about $900 which we thought wasn’t too bad - my advice spend the extra money on a better hotel. The room had only three pillows and a thin blanket and a cover sheet. When we called the front desk for extra pillows (we were willing to pay extra) they informed us they don’t have any. We called almost every day being here and nothing. They don’t have housekeeping everyday either only every two weeks and we had to sleep with our garbage in the same room as us, when asked where we could take the trash out to front desk informed us to wait for housekeeping (14 days) or to pay for housekeeping to come !!! The first night I had to kill a spider while I was eating my food. A few days later we spotted a cockroach just under the microwave. A day before leaving another cockroach was spotted in the bathroom. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!! We’ve called to complain and nothing the front desk doesn’t care and as I’ve just had surgery there wasn’t much I could do. We have to go down to front desk for everything such as trash bags and toilet paper. There are only two elevators that do in fact take a while to get to you and both elevators stink. There’s a weird smell every time you step into the elevator. Coming off sometimes smells like chemicals which would give me a headache and cause lightheadedness. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I WOULD NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN AND I WOULD NEVER...
Read moreI booked 3 nights at this horror show of a hotel in February of 2023 and paid $150 per night. The hotel is located in an industrial area with no services around and there are no amenities at the hotel itself (i.e. no water, ice etc) so you are stuck if you do not have a car in terms of getting any water or food and have to order it in. At check-in, I was told I would have to pay for both internet and towel exchange - and if I wanted fresh linens, I was responsible for bringing the diry ones to the front desk. I was told the hotel deposit was $50 (which, when I cancelled the last 2 nights of my stay - the "manager" refused to refund - I guess as a form of punishment for the cancellation). The hotel is worse than a 1 star motel - the entry area both outside and inside is dirty and smells and is littered with cigarette buts. The entire hotel has a horrible smell. The elevators smell strongly of cigarette smoke and the smell of the fake air freshener designed to mask other ordours permeates the hallways and rooms. The windows don't open so you are left with this smell during your entire stay. The rooms are terrible - old, tired and prison-like. The bed had only a single blanket what appeared to be an old and dirty bedcover - nothing more. The wifi went out consistently and when you call the front desk, no one answers. I finally made my way down to the front desk to ask about the internet but was told "I could pay for it if I wanted better internet" or I could "wait for it to be reset". I knew immediately upon check in that I could not stay in this hotel and immediately called expedia to cancel the last 2 nights of my stay. The "manager" was reluctant to refund the last 2 nights and only under pressure from Expedia did he finally agree - but kept the $50 deposit. Avoid this property...
