I had a frustrating experience at Chipotle in Coconut Grove location today and felt compelled to share. I went in to pickup a quick dinner before I jump on the train, ordered my usual bowl with white rice, black beans, and extra chicken, but right off the bat, the server tells me, “No salsa, no cheese.” I was confused, but okay, I can deal with that. Then I asked for guacamole, which is usually a treat for me, but when I got to the cashier, the situation got worse.
The cashier rings up the order, and suddenly I’m being charged extra for double chicken, which, fine, I get it—it’s double meat. But then, she tells me that they have to charge for guacamole. I’m shocked. Why are they charging me for guac when the rest of the ingredients are limited, and there’s barely any choice? When I questioned it, the cashier said, “Sorry, that’s the policy,” but I’m still irritated.
What really made no sense was that they still had two hours left until closing. They had plenty of time to make my meal right, but I was left feeling like I was being charged extra for things that should’ve been included in a normal bowl. Honestly, the cheese is a key part of the meal—it really completes the flavor, and to have that taken away felt frustrating.
I was about ready to just walk out, but I ended up paying because I was already there. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll be back...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of checking out the new Chipotle that just opened by my house, and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff set a positive tone for my dining experience.
I opted for the chicken burrito, and it was everything I hoped for and more! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor in every bite. The generous portion of rice, fresh pico de gallo, and creamy guacamole added a delightful freshness that complemented the savory chicken. The tortilla was warm and perfectly wrapped, making it easy to devour.
My friend Sebastian went for the rice and bean bowl, and he was equally impressed! The rice was fluffy, the beans were savory, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. He loved the balance of flavors and how customizable the bowl was, allowing him to create a meal that was just right for him.
Overall, our experience was fantastic! The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the service was quick and friendly. I definitely recommend checking out this new Chipotle if you're looking for a delicious meal that hits the spot. We’ll definitely be returning for more amazing food in the...
Read moreThis restaurant needs a different manager. One that understands how to conduct business. I got an email from Chipotle that there is a promotion for free guacamole today with a purchase so decided to take advantage of the promotion. At Chipotle, I ordered 2 burrito bowls and a side of guacamole. At check out a staff member told me that the promotion was for online orders only, and wouldn't honor the promotion. She also said that many other people today came in with the same "mistake". She asked the manager to honor the advertised promo and the manager refused. With all due respect, if a lot of customers came in because of an advertised promo, clearly the mistake is on their end. Don't just tell me the promo code doesn't work. That's not the customer's fault. Frankly, for the low cost of guacamole, I wouldn't want to piss off a customer that came in for an advertised promo. Some managers are better suited to not make managerial decisions. Business isn't for everyone. I hope Chipotle corporate replaces this petty and non English...
