I usually don’t do reviews! But I left so frustrated the place. It is the first time trying Doggi’s again after me avoiding to come since my last experience was not the best as well with the flavor of the food.
First of all, your food is overpriced for the size of the portion and the type of food and beverage you serve. This is basic cuisine, not complex preparation. I guess is your business and you put your price but 5$ a papelon? How? For the price of the arepa I literally should eat it with fork, but no this arepa is so tiny that I could eat it with one hand.
I ordered a Santa Barbara arepa, it used to be my favorite arepa of this place. Now nothing good to say, meat lacked of flavor, one slide of tomato and 2 slides of avocado, and barely cheese.
The attention: one thing is being polite and educated (this was the case and that is appreciated) but other different thing is being proactive and attentive. Servers were more paying attention to clean and organize the empty tables than actually serving to the people that was eating. To the point that the water was served at the moment the main drink was served. Really I had to ask for the sauce for a meat arepas? I thought this is like putting the napkin in a table. Additionally, no special attention or suggestion of what to try or eat. It was just like “are you ready to order?” And then, the most funny and incredible part was the bill with the tip suggestion starting in 20%.
Just putting my comments here so you hopefully can improve those points and hopefully I can give another try in the future. You are near my house. But now there are so many Venezuelan places and choices that I would order to drive a bit more to have good quality...
Read moreI live in Doral and drove all the way down to coral way to have dinner with my kid tonight since I liked the place and food from before. The food was good but took long way to arrive. My lowest start is given just because the whole experience was ruined by the manager in charge (a women but didn’t pick her name), I order the waiter, who was nice, a papelon for my kid, and when the brought it it didn’t taste good and was bitter, I told my waiter and said we didn’t like it and please just leave water for us. The manager came and drop sample juices for exchange even though we told my kid didn’t want any juices and water was fine. When we ask for the check, the waiter came and told me to wait so he could remove the papelon, we didn’t ask for removal but thought if we didn’t like it and drink they wouldn’t charge. At that moment the manager came rudely and told me the drink was not bad and that what they have been serving all day long and that it would not be removed, and if I wanted to they could pack it, I told no since we didn’t like and we didn’t even drink it. I told her I would no fight over a drink and the charge it, my son was tired and wanted to leave. My review is not arguing about the drink, just the fact that if you order something and you don’t like you should be able to return it without benign charged, it’s common sense, you go to a place to pay for something you like. Anyways the approach of the manager over a simple rejected drink was not right and ruined our overall experience, food can be good in a place, but bad customer service can just ruin everything. Definitely, taking the place of the list. Why would I drive 30 min away from home to screw over a restaurant over a...

I’ve always loved the food at Doggi’s, and today was no exception. The flavors were fantastic as always. My daughter, niece, and I enjoyed our drinks—a mora juice, papelón con limón, and a cappuccino—and shared some delicious bites.
However, the service today left much to be desired. While things started well with our server promptly taking our order, everything went downhill as the restaurant got busier. When we were ready to pay, we waited for quite some time before another server brought the bill. Even after that, we continued to wait and ultimately had to go to the cashier to get things moving.
Unfortunately, this part of the experience was frustrating. When I handed the bill to Sandra at the cashier, she attempted to charge us for an extra papelón con limón that we didn’t order. When I pointed out the error, she insisted repeatedly that we had an additional drink, and her attitude was unhelpful and dismissive. The original server was nearby but didn’t clarify the situation. The entire process felt unnecessarily complicated and unpleasant.
In the end, I paid for what we actually ordered, but the service overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable meal. While I’ll definitely return for the food, I hope the management takes steps to improve the service and ensure smoother, more pleasant...
