I don't recommend this Mexican restaurant due to our recent visit. Before we would eat regularly and liked it. Our recent visit was nothing like we had ever experienced before. To start off we ordered the same lunch as usual and it's been good, but this visit the quality was below good quality. They brought something totally different that what we asked for and when we advised the waitress she told the person in charge and the lady came to the table and the first words out of her mouth was that's exactly what you ordered and was rude. As we attempted to explain to her that what we ordered was the beef tip chimmy chonga she said that what you got, and was very rude and hateful and we asked her that wasn't anything like what had gotten before. She grabbed our plate and took off with them and never said a word and as we waited thinking they were making it right, after a bit my wife approached her only to here from her that we aren't going to cook it again. We advised that we were willing to pay for the chips she was rude and stated don't worry about it. I strongly recommend anyone not to patronize that restaurant due to the fact they don't seem to appreciate your business, as well as it appears they have let their quality make a down fall. As for us after being treated in such a manor we personally will not eat their any more. Personally I wouldn't treat my dog the way we were treated, it was for one embarrassing to be treated like we were in front of other customers. I'm one that is very easy going and respectful and am willing to pay for a good meal but after today's visit my family will not eat their again. I pray they realize what they have done and not treat future customers the way we...

If you've ever eaten good Mexican, and expect the reviews of this place to be that. Don't. Stop. Go somewhere else. This is the definition of "White people Mexican" and not in a good way.

We got their Guacamole, Queso, Chori Burrito and Kids cheese burger. The kids cheeseburger was the best part, and still on par with a Sonic burger for comparison.

The quacamole LITERALLY just tastes like avocado with no seasoning, props to the fact you get to watch them make it, but it had no flavor.

The queso was just your standard swiss American melt watered down.

The chorichicken, had your standard chorizo flavor, but the chicken had no flavor, and if you'd put white rice in front of me and blind tasted it, I wouldnt have been able to taste the difference.

We were just passing through, so I can't speak for another recommendation but there are plenty of other restaurants with the same reviews and recommend you don't make...

The food was amazing! However the only complaint was the service. We couldn't get our drinks refilled and our chips and salsa came at the same time our food did. Not once did he ever come to the table and ask if we need anything. The gentleman sitting next to us spilled his drink all over the table and the floor, and noone came to help him clean it up. I tried to help with what I could, but he actually ended up having to eat his food with pop all over the table and in his seat. The lady working the bar area was FANTASTIC however. To add, I gave 5 stars because I don't believe one bad or off experience should affect the overall quality of the restaurant itself, and I know this just was an off day for them because the service is...

El Arriero Mexican Grill is one of several Mexican restaurants in the town of Miami, OK and located on Route 66. When my family and I eat from here we order take out on Taco Tuesday for their $1 taco special. Even when ordering tacos to go, the food still comes with chips and salsa. The tacos are not street tacos, which I find disappointing, yet many enjoy them and they are still well-seasoned and tasty. We have never eatten in-house so I cannot speak on what that is like from experience. Yet when ordering to-go still expect atleast a 15-20 minute wait. Be sure to check out what other specials they have or visit for their Taco Tuesday!

AMAZING! We ate there for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious. Friendliest waiter we have experienced. He was hard working as well. The fresh guacamole was wonderful. All the food was. Happy hour was a bonus. We left there full and extremely happy with our experience. Highly recommend giving them a try! You won’t regret it. I posted this over a year ago. We plan to drive up Thursday for my birthday and have dinner and margaritas. It’s about a 6 hour drive. We have a few other things to do but El Arriero is always on my list to visit.
