Absolutely heinous experience. I’d like to preface this review with a disclaimer that my friends and I are neither ugly, nor fat. At first we thought the bad reviews were all by ugly people and we didn’t trust them, but that is absolutely not the case. Please trust the reviews and don’t waste your time here. First of all, our entire group of 4 people were on time for our reservation, yet they could not seat us and we waited one hour for our table - nothing was comped to us at the bar for this. They kept seating groups of people who apparently “prepaid” for their dinner. That should’ve been our first red flag to leave. The next red flag was when the manager explained to us that there’s such a long wait because we were in a successful place. Complete nonsense - not when everyone had reservations and were on time for those reservations. In my extensive dining experience, it is actually a sign of a restaurant being poorly run and overbooked. Then, after an hour when we were finally seated, the manager came over, didn’t apologize for the wait, and told us condescendingly that we “will be smiling by the end of the night”. Sir we are from Manhattan, this stupid belly dancer and strobe light gimmick is not impressing me. You can barely hear the person next to you because they blast bad music and the interior also looks like a tacky brothel. What made me actually laugh out loud was the bathroom situation. It’s basically an outhouse. You walk outside to get to a trailer and inside, the toilets are rickety plastic toilets that they have at music festivals. See photos. The food was unmemorable and unremarkable. What I do remember is we asked for the steak medium rare and it came out well done (see photos for reference). A disrespect to the wagyu (honestly the meat still tasted good but bc it was wagyu not bc of anything else). Everything else was under seasoned and bland, especially the couscous. The icing on top of the cake was the fact that the four of us ordered $1.2k worth of food and drinks and we were about to order dessert but the manager asked us to leave so they can seat the next table. So we had to wait an hour for our table, we spent $300 per person on shitty food and drinks, we had to use an outhouse to go to the bathroom, and they kicked us out before dessert. And nothing was comped for our inconvenience. Terribly run operation and they deserve to go out of business. If you want a party with your dinner, go to Hasalon instead. Don’t waste your time or money on these disrespectful people.

Here is the vibrant English translation of the promotional text for Habibi Restaurant in Miami, capturing all the original enthusiasm and detail:

Miami's Shining Gem: The Captivating Dance of Flavor, Joy, and Hospitality at Habibi!

In the electric energy and colorful cultural mosaic of Miami, if you're searching for a sanctuary that invites you to another world—where sincerity and flavor dance in every corner—then the right address is undoubtedly Habibi Restaurant! This isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an unforgettable realm of experiences that engages all the senses, nourishes the soul, and makes every visitor feel truly like "Habibi" (Beloved).

The Moment You Step Through the Door: A Warm Embrace At the entrance, the tropical Miami breeze blends with intoxicating aromas of spices and grills. But what’s truly captivating is the staff’s unique, heartfelt smiles and the sparkle in their eyes. Their "Welcome!" feels so genuine, it’s as if you’ve arrived at the home of a long-lost friend. The servers aren’t just order-takers; they’re storytellers, ambassadors of the food’s soul. Their sincere recommendations about the menu, their anecdotes about the culture behind each dish—make the meal infinitely more enjoyable. Here, hospitality feels less like a learned behavior and more like an art born from the heart.

The energy is joyful but never noisy—a lively symphony of cheerful chatter and laughter.

A Carnival on the Palate: Where Flavor Reigns Supreme And now… the flavor carnival! Habibi’s kitchen marries traditional recipes with respect, the elegance of fresh Miami ingredients, and the chef’s creative genius. Every bite celebrates the balanced harmony of spices, the perfect tenderness of grilled meats, and the explosive freshness of mezes. The hummus is so divine, it’s like tasting a cloud. The most incredible part about visiting this restaurant was Kaitlyn!  I went to check out the venue a week before hosting my birthday dinner there.  She was so very nice, welcoming, accommodating, knowledgeable and professional.  It has been AGES since I've encountered a true maître d' at a restaurant.  I am huge on service and after having the encounter with her, I was certainly under the impression that everything else would be in alignment with her.   I was very excited for my dinner celebration as the ambiance and decor was extremely gorgeous. I am a true lover of Moroccan cuisine and there was no Tagine on the menu which struck me as odd.  I was optimistic but I had a snack before I went just in case the food turned out not to be authentic.  Two days before the dinner, I realized that I needed to adjust the number of guest from 4 to 3 people.  I called and spoke to Christina who informed me that the restaurant did not allow parties under 4.  I asked her to please clarify what she was saying and she again repeated that the restaurant did not accommodate parties under 4.  There is no indication of that anywhere on their website or social media AND, if you go on their RSVP site, you have the option to even book for 1 person.  They need to make that correction. On the day of, I was able to go to the location and secure the RSVP.  When we arrived we waited at the bar to be seated.  The bartender was absolutely a gem and the drinks were on point. Once seated, the DJ's music was so loud that we had to yell across the table at each other before we decided to just not speak because at no point did the music lower.  There was lots of entertainment/ stimulation so we engaged with that instead of with each other.  It was kind of disappointing because some people had flown in for the evening for dinner and were not able to speak and catch up with each other.  The show starts about 11ish and is very entertaining and engaging.  There are belly dancers, drummers, over the top bottle service presentations, the whole 9!  We ordered the Mezze Prince, Mezze Royale, Shaved Brussels, Broccolini Grillé, Lobster Roll, Tiger Prawns, Lollipop" Côtelettes D'Agneau and Branzino Grillé.  The food and drinks started coming out and the food runners just dropped the item off on the edge of the table and walked away. They didn't say what it was, place the items by seat number or even make sure there was a clear space.  Just drop and go. I literally have had better service at an Applebee's. I was in disbelief that a restaurant of this supposed caliber had that kind of poor service. To top it off, the food was horrible!  The only person who had a decent item was the lamb chops (Lollipops). both Mezze's- nasty and bland, lobster roll-smelled rancid and expired, prawns- chewy and cooked to over-well, branzino -dry. We couldn't even take it up with the server because she had taken so long to come back that everyone was just ready to take the check and go.  I was so glad I had a snack before I went otherwise, I would have been very HANGRY. Overall, if you're looking for a place to have drinks and lounge and you're into the eclec-techno party scene, this is the spot.  Get cute, make sure there is camera storage, hell, even bring your dollar bills to tip the dancers.  However, this is not the place for a nice, upscale...

I had a reservation for 10:30 to celebrate two of my cousins' birthday while visiting from out of town. I had already notified staff that we were on the way. We were about 10 minutes late, so I checked in before everyone else, while the car was getting parked. The bouncer at the front gave me no issues. However, he treated my cousins poorly, telling them that they don't accept walk-ins. He would not allow them to come in until I came outside and said those are my people. Then it took 45 minutes from the time of our arrival to get seated, I checked with the front desk at least 3 times and they kept telling me they would notify me when a table was ready. And although we were 10 minutes late and waiting for a table, the hostess said she could give us about 1 hour and 20 minutes but not the full 2 hours. Eventually were seated outside and ignored for another 20 minutes. Also as we were seated at this table outside, there was some young woman who kept opening the sliding door to the deck to record herself "dancing", right behind us/on the back of our chairs. She also would not move after I said "excuse me" several times; the hostess watched this interaction and did nothing.

After waiting for someone to acknowlegde us, one of my cousins and I went back to the front to request to cancel the reservation. I also wanted to make sure that I would not be charged any of their "fees". I also asked to speak to a manager, and a young man ask me about our night. I explained to him how we were ignored and waited too long to be seated. He then asked me what time I had arrived, I said it was 10 minutes after the reservation time and I had called ahead to let them know this. He apologized and offered drinks to my cousins, the birthday girls, as consolation. We declined and asked to leave.

While other reviews made note of the dress code and rudeness/service, I did not think it would be this bad. I can't say for sure, but it very much felt like we were being discriminated against. Or maybe it was because we didn't fit their look, but either way this was completely unacceptable. The only pleasant interaction with one of the bartenders. While we are ignored by the gentleman/bartender in front of us, one bartender came from the end bar to make sure that we were taken care of. This is the only pleasant remark that I have.

The gentleman who parked our car for us let us know when we came back to the lot that they're known to treat people horribly. I guess they choose who they want to service. I'm absolutely disgusted and beyond upset by this experience. My cousins were visibly upset and I hate that this is how our night ended for...
