Our reservation was at 10pm for 7 people. Half of the party arrived on time and the rest got there before the grace period was over but they wouldn't seat us until the entire party arrived, which was understandable. We were seated immediately once we were all present on the main level (there are two levels for the restaurant- main & upstairs) near the kitchen. Our server, Javier, introduced himself and described various cocktails on the drink menu as suggestions. During this, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and we replied still water. Three of us ordered the Serendipity, one ordered an espresso martini, two ordered wine, and I asked for a coke with cherry syrup. All drinks came out looking great and they topped my cherry coke with 3 cherries which was nice. Several times throughout the night our waters were refilled as well. Soon after, Javier came back to take our orders and explained that they bring everything out at once and all of the dishes are meant to be shared between the table. That worked for all of us since we all wanted to try different dishes. The appetizers came out first. We ordered the seabass carpaccio and the truffle arancini which were both delicious. The carpaccio tasted refreshing and the arancini warmed my soul. Our plates and utensils were replaced with clean ones after appetizers which I liked a lot. Several servers brought all of our entrees out at the same time. We ordered two whole branzinos which they helped remove the head and tail and served on each of our plates for us. The server explained that there was a basil sauce and a garlic sauce that paired with the fish and they both tasted great. The lamb chops we ordered were very juicy. We ordered the wagyu skirt steak and the tenderloin filet both cooked to different temps but both were fantastic. Lastly, we ordered the rigatoni pasta and it tasted so good with the ricotta. All of the dishes were presented beautifully and tasted equally amazing. We were celebrating a birthday that night and secretly asked the waiter for dessert to celebrate. While waiting, our plates and utensils were replaced with clean ones again and the birthday girl asked why we were getting new ones. The man with the plates said "it's for the next table" and our gullible birthday girl fell for it as we laughed. Soon two beautiful lava cakes with ice cream came out with candles lit and we sang happy birthday to her. Originally, I didn't realize that there was ice cream as it came in a tiny cup that the candle was sitting in but it was amazing with the lava cake that oozed delicious chocolate. As a sidenote I wanted to mention we had an awesome view of the kitchen staff in between cooking our meals they were dancing to the loud house music that was playing throughout the restaurant. We really enjoyed seeing them have fun while working. Another notable mention is the bathroom. There were two single bathrooms (men & women) that had a bathroom attendant check after each person to make sure it was clean and presentable for the next. It was lovely. Our check came and gratuity was automatically added on which was nice for a large party like us. The restaurant was directly on the water and we asked a manager if we could go upstairs to the balcony there to take pictures. He was so nice to take us there himself and take the pictures for us. The views were awesome. Overall, the experience was one of a kind and I would recommend anyone to try it when visiting Miami as it's truly a wonderful place to eat and...
Read moreWould love to be able to get the food without having to go there again. The experience was a detractor from the food. Legitimately had me scratching my head. Went on a Saturday night with my girlfriend.
I’m probably right on the fence on whether or not I’d go back again. So many options at this price point, even just next door.
Right off the bat, show up at 713 for a 715 reservation check in - have to wait in an area that’s very congested (bar was overly full).
After 10 minutes of shuffling about in a mix of people thinking “this sucks”- I go back up to the host stand re-check in because I had a hunch they’re not really keeping track of things. They confirm my suspicion when I check back in and they immediately say “Yes the table is ready, check in up stairs at that host stand” 🤦♂️ nice, I get to check in for the third time.
Elevator is janky doors don’t open unless you press the open button. Isn’t this place new?
No host at the stand. Get to the table it’s 735. It was a 2 top on a mini balcony, great to watch the boats go by- very separated from the inside vibe but I liked it. Just be aware that’s a possibility.
Server comes, says he’ll be right back with bread and water. Water right away. Server is gone for about 10 minutes.
So by the time we’re ordering drinks we’re 30 minutes past when the reservation was made for. I’ve got no faith he’ll be returning often so we order drinks and the entirety of dinner all at once.
It’s 755 the drink and bread comes. Pick it up, why is it cold? Server asks how it is I ask if it’s meant to be warm he says yes but they don’t have warmers so it just sits out and gets cold. Ok cool 👍
The drink was weird I got the Blue Pearl - I take a sip and it’s STRAIGHT booze. I’m like what? I take a closer look and it was completely separated (see picture) I wasn’t told to mix it or given anything to mix it with, but I use my knife to mix it then it was way better. So now I’ve questioned “is the bread supposed to be warm?” And “is this drink supposed to be mixed?” “Why don’t they have an actual waiting area?” “why am I checking in 3 times?” “why don’t these elevator doors open when you get to the floor you pressed like every other elevator?”
Food starts coming, really saving the day here. See pictures.
Other than all of that just like kind of nuanced sloppy service things, not clearing/switching plates fast enough. Bringing my girlfriend chopsticks for the salmon maki even though she already told him she’s vegetarian.
I’m probably just holding it to a higher standard than I should be. If its competition is Kiki’s then it’s on par with the service I’ve had there. If it’s competition is a place like Sparrow or Sunny’s it’s...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place as I am a fan of RDG restaurants frequent Mila and Ava. Unfortunately, the vibes and service at Casa Neos are horrible and do not compare and I would rather go to Fabel in Wynwood for a better experience, better food, and similar ambience. As for Mila and Ava, at least the service has always been good and food solid.
I came to celebrate my birthday, my table of 8 spending over $1200 and then probably another $500 at the bar, and the restaurant couldn’t have made us feel more unwelcome and the food unmemorable aside from the needless tacky show-fire they serve with some dishes just for the aesthetic. I’m not sure why there are so many reviews raving about it. Everything was just “ok”, the king salmon appetizer was probably the best dish and we tried a lot of the menu, from several apps, sushi, salads, and steaks.
They put a 2-hr timer on you as soon as your reservation starts, which I understand if it was a crowded night. It was not a crowded night and yet they were pushing our table out despite many other large tables being open through the night. One of my girlfriends had put in a drink 15 mins before our reservation was up, and never got her a drink before kicking us out of our table. My other friend had wanted to surprise me with a dessert for my bday and they ruined the surprise by putting the dessert in front of the wrong person with no candle, and then took it back and lit the dessert in front of me LOL. The staff couldn’t even have pretended to be less miserable throughout the whole service. When getting drinks at the bar, there was 1 bartender to serve the bar so service was very slow, AND THEN messed up our drink order by overcharging for 3 premium liquor drinks (when it was just supposed to be 1) and refused to correct it.
Ambience: super weird, for being called a “beach club”, you would think people would be dancing and the energy would be more exciting. Instead, it was a sleepy Friday night, no dance space, and a militaristic staff that won’t let you drink that the bar unless you are wearing their wristband (??) We were there until 12:30am seeing if the energy would turn up, but it never did, and if anything the DJ turned down at that point.
Overall, this place feels like another fake-bougie place with a price point that does not provide the service or special dining experience one may expect. Extremely...
