TB HOTEL MIAMI — Hotel in Miami

Arrived at the hotel for a two night stay for two rooms at 5:00pm. We are out the door by 5:15pm off to another hotel. I told the receptionist, I know the two nights are non refundable. I am willing to give up the money I paid for the two rooms in search of a new hotel. Yes, it is that bad!!! The hotel posted photos of buildings on Expedia making it seems like a good looking hotel. However we found out upon arrival that it is a fake picture that is not even related to the hotel at all. It’s a scam! When we decide to just check our rooms before we finalize the decision of losing our money for the two night stays, our rooms upon entry smells like urine!! When looking in the washroom, it has urine stains on the walls besides the toilet. The curtains are full of dust and the carpet are filled with black dirts. When we wave the bed sheet out, we could see dust flying. For people coming to Miami for the first time, do not let the photo posted by the hotel fool you. It is not what the hotel looks like. It is located in a high crime area with nothing at all around the hotel. The only way to get out of that area is by calling an uber. No bus, nothing that is walkable distance....

Okay, first off, the reviews did make my husband and I nervous. Turns out we didn't need to, because these negative reviews couldn't be further from the truth. The man behind the front desk was extremely nice and made sure to explain all of the policies and amenities. When we got up to our room, my jaw dropped. It is so gorgeous and cozy!!! And no need to worry about the neighborhood, I have literally been to worse. It is very clean, and it smells fantastic. I can't wait to use the floor length mirror in the lobby tomorrow before attending Taylor Swift's eras tour!!! I just know I'll be able to admire all sides of my outfit! That's right, I'm leaving my review before our stay is even over!!! To the owner, I'm so sorry people don't understand your policies and are leaving all these awful reviews, your establishment is the nicest one we've stayed at so far on our trip, and I couldn't think of a better place to get ready for the show tomorrow, the vibes are perfect!!! Do not let the outside fool you, this hotel is an absolute gem in Miami, and a historical...

Going to try to give a fair review.

Location....sketchy spot, even during daylight hours id be hesitant to walk anywhere. Our Uber driver suggested that we don't!

Room/decor...definitely dated, lots of gold colors, but not a issue at all. Room was the same, the bedroom looked and felt clean.

MAJOR ISSUE....if you are remotely sensitive to smells....do not book! They have perfume dispenser in the vents that distribute this extremely strong smell throughout the place,including the rooms.

I booked through Expedia, non refundable....cost $250 cdn.

My wife started to feel sick and started to vomit from the overwhelming perfume. I talked to front desk and Expedia....neither would do anything for us.

We checked out after 2 hours and booked at the CitizenM Hotel Mami for $330cdn.

Spend your money how you will, but there is ZERO value in our opinion staying at that hotel.

Now we will see if they hold back the $100.00 deposit for the incidentals😵‍💫

Lesson cost us $$580.00 for 1 night...don't make...
