Wiener Dog Brewery — Restaurant in Miami

I stumbled upon Wiener Dog Brewery while craving a cold beer after a day on the water, and I’m so glad I did! The staff were super friendly, and the finger foods hit the spot. The vibe here is laid-back and cozy—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. This time, I tried their hazy IPA, which was deliciously refreshing (honestly, I couldn’t resist having two!). To go with my brews, I ordered the buffalo wings and Russian dumplings. They paired nicely—the wings had a good kick, and the dumplings reminded me of yaki mandu, but with a unique bready, baked twist. Tasty stuff!

Now, the verdict: I’d give Wiener Dog 4 out of 5 stars. The beer alone is a solid 5—top-notch! But the food, while enjoyable, has some room to grow. With a name like Wiener Dog, I couldn’t help but imagine pigs in a blanket or maybe even a killer hot dog on the menu. Would I come back? Absolutely! I've been to this place a few times now, and every visit has been exceptional. The first time, I stopped by just to check out a new brewery—being a beer lover, I’m always on the lookout for great spots. To say I was surprised would be an understatement! The quality blew me away, so I had to come back—and once again, it did not disappoint.

These guys are crafting something truly special, something Miami has been missing. On top of that, the brewery has an incredible owner and brewer, Alex, who is hands-on 24/7, ensuring every batch meets the highest standards. His dedication to quality is evident in every sip.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars, also because the servers were very nice, but this is a place that just opened a month and a half ago so there are things to adjust: Starting with the ambience music. We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon and the soundtrack was “dentist waiting room”, almost put us to sleep. The food was just ok. The beers were decent, but they were out of the IPA. I had the hazy IPA, which was very clear-looking so I think the server made a mistake as to which one was actually out; I believe I had the IPA and they were out of the hazy… she wasn’t very proficient on the options.
