Modest hotel on the outside, but comfortable rooms on the inside. The customer service was very good. We requested to move to a different room shortly after arriving because the smoke alarm was missing in the first room we were given (the person at the front desk was very helpful). The room was clean and the air conditioner was cold.||The king size bed was comfortable and there were some interesting lighting options near the bed (lighting in front of the bed, over the head of the bed, indirect bedside light and even under the bed light). We did request 2 extra pillows from the person at the front desk.||The bathroom had a nice size vanity with space for our toiletries. There was a room with a bathtub and a shower combination, and the shower worked great with plenty of hot water. The bathroom door didn't have hinges, it was on a track, but it worked fine for us.||We made use of the small microwave and the mini refrigerator. The TV was also larger than some other motels we have stayed at nearby. The TV comes with Roku streaming service. The room had one chest of drawers that included a rod for hanging shirts on.||Since it's located on a busy street, I was concerned about the noise from the cars, but the room was fairly quiet (we were on the second floor), and the busy street didn't bother us.||Very close to the park and a wonderful pizza restaurant, called O Munaciello.||For the price, it was a fine place to stay.||There was a very, very small desk area in the room with a functional chair - it was just ok. There is no pool, but we were fine with that. The motel does not have a 24 hour lobby, so I wanted to make sure that we arrived during their lobby hours, in case there were any problems. We will probably stay there again as it's convenient to a family member that lives in Miami, but I will want to make sure to arrive during the...
Read moreThis is a great little boutique hotel to stay at if you are coming to The price is great and we knew what we were booking. We just wanted something clean, safe, and in an area that had a few places to walk to. We went to Miami for a cruise or any little getaway. Itâs very quiet, the rooms are clean, and the woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We only stayed one night but there is Blue Collar bar and restaurant right across the street. They have excellent food and a really nice patio bar. We found this motel to have everything we needed. The area is growing and very safe. The bed was large, clean, and comfortable. I really enjoyed our night here and in the area. Here are some tips to help your stay: || They donât have hair dryers in the rooms. Ask for one at check in. They keep them at the front desk because some of us like to think we can take everything in the room because we rented it for a night. ||PARKING: We used Uber but there is very little parking. There is a lot of parking in the area though so donât complain when you get here and canât park. Itâs in all of the reviews. ||REMOTES: Please take the batteries out of the remote if they are dead. This is a very small, considerate task to do if you find your remote not working. Iâm not blaming the hotel because who does check remotes? Itâs up to the inconsiderate person before me who knew it was dead and didnât tell them. ||Thanks for...
Read moreYes this is long, but if you are seriously considering booking here, READ THIS IN ITâS ENTIRETY! My girlfriend and I booked a room at the Biscayne Hotel for one night in March, as we were about to go on a cruise the next day. Upon arrival in Miami on the plane, we received a phone call at 11 pm. The call was from the Hotel and a man who barely spoke English let us know that they NO LONGER HAD ROOM FOR US TO STAY, and that we needed to go to the Biscayne MOTEL instead. After arriving to the most run-down and visibly sketchy motel in existence, we met the front desk lady, who also barely spoke English. After telling her of our complaints about our situation, she called on her cell phone to the Biscayne Hotel and told us that they did not have our room there and she hurriedly took us to our disgusting 8x10 room. Throughout the night we were awoken by insanely loud exhaust revving IN THEIR OWN PARKING LOT, 25 feet from our door. We got very little sleep and felt absolutely disgusting sleeping in the bed. When morning FINALLY came, we went back up to talk to the front desk assistant and complained again. He gave us a card with no phone number and email to the âownerâ of both the Biscayne Hotel and Motel. We tried calling the Biscayne Hotelâs number and they would not answer us. We also emailed the âownerâ and have not heard back in a week now. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT book either BiSCAM...
