Yesterday July 17th 21 we decided to have again a dinner here basing on the previous good experiences . We loved a not tall Latino waiter that was always serving us in an amazing way . So :
Basically a bad experience at all and ruined my and my lady evening . We wanted to go in one of our better places and we found a suck of experience.
Don’t know what’s happening to the management of Ironside but I felt something is changing and not in good .
First think immediately fire off this manager Isaac that was in the staff yesterday evening : arrogant , un respectful and make people in discomfort . A person like that cannot work in the catering business or at contact whit commercial clients . Absolutely no ways .
How that the Owner of Ironside will review this management and will set back as the very good place and staff was . For the moment I say goodbye and don’t recommend to anybody to go...
Read moremy review is not towards the food but towards THE SERVICE... from the greeting hostess to the server.... never been so irritated. last night it was a very rainy night. i called in advance to the restaurant to see if due to the weather we needed reservations. The hostess said: "no, come in. we have LOTS of open tables". Less than 10mins later (cause i live 2blocks away) i got it and the ONLY tables "available" where under water..literally... i asked her but i called in advance and her answer was "i cant control the weather maam"... im like what?! aint nobody talkig about the rain!!!.... however she took us to a "patio" and told the server of that area which her name is Camila Magalhaes or something (this i had to check in the final bill because she never came to introduce herself to the table) to get a rag anfd help her dry to table. The answer of this server was "the tables are all wet, they're all like that.. we dont have more tables" and the hostess said "just help me carry this table inside and lets dry it" and the server refused to do it turning around and walking away. My boyfriend and I (that Im 7months PREGNANT) had to push the table in so we can sit down at least because it was raining so hard we couldnt leave. Because my boyfriend was so hungry we had to have diner there. I told the hostess i didnt wanted to be served by that particular rude server... and my request was declined. The hostess laughed and turned around and never came back. During our meal we had to stand around to get our own condiments because no one came to our table to assist us...Just one kind girl which i thik was the food runner or busser was kind enough to offer us water and i guess she was told not to serve us and left us a big container with water so we pour ourselves. VERY DISSAPOINTED... im not coming back or recommending this place ever DUE TO THE RUDE SERVICE I RECEIVED... i didnt enjoy my food at all... even pregnant which food taste...
Read moreSo this is going to be an atypical review as I don't have any pictures I know, I know, how are you going to know how great this place is? Well I'm going to help you with that as much as I can. So, what looked like it was going to be a bad experience when we arrived, was quickly turned into an amazing time, mainly because of our exceptional host. Most of the tables inside and out were reserved, but we were able to seated in the shade on the patio. This was perfect because we had 12 people, and the patio was turned into our own private party. We were informed that for a party of our size, they would have to do the fixed menu; this consisted of a variety of salad and cheese combinations, bread, a huge rotation of pizzas, and a Nutella pizza for dessert, all for on fixed price. One salad was mixed greens, walnuts and raisins; another was arugula and mango cubes, and the other was arugula, thin slices of leeks, and mandarin. The appetizer boards were also different but consisted of goat cheese, Gorgonzola, or mozzarella in classic caprese style. And the meats were prosciutto and different cured hams of the region. The pizzas were all thin crust, wood oven made and also came with a variety of toppings; Genoa salami, prosciutto, spinach, arugula, sliced sausage. Because of the crust, the pizza was not as filling as it normally would be, and each combination of every course was absolutely delightful. The Nutella pizza... There's not much to say about it, other than it was perfect and the cherry on top of the lovely meal and experience. I really want to revisit, possibly with less people, so that I can see the full scope of their menu. Based on this experience, I'm sure they will live up to my high expectations. Next time, I promise I'll...
