Subway — Restaurant in Michigan City

I have never really had a bad experience myself other than slow service here and there but yesterday I saw something that really bothered me and I can't get it out of my head. While I was waiting to order a group of Hispanic males had all received their food. They were all covered in paint, clearly on their lunch, smiling and laughing. When the last gentleman went to pay the cashier very loudly and rudely said "I can NOT accept a hundred. Don't you have anything smaller?". Her tone was rude and way out of line. Considering that I paid $20 For 2 meals I can't imagine that their bill was so small that she couldn't accept their payment. She didn't try to check the bill, just flat out refused to take it. I have been in this location many times and seen other customers pay with large bills. I myself have paid with a $50 bill before. There are not signs postedabout not accepting large bills.

I have never heard other customers in the past or at that exact moment told that.

If you can't accept large bills, post it.

But I don't think...

The food tasted good until I the next morning when I hit the toilet. Definitely not the experience I was looking for this morning. I ordered a vegetarian delite.

The staff is very polite. The tables could have been wiped down though as I looked for a place to sit most of the tables were dirty.

The service was good, the place was relaxing and amazing but could use some blinds on the windows for shade durning really sunny hours.

The one who made my sandwich started handling other items on the table like removing empty containers that needed to be replaced with new veggies or meat and etc.

When I asked her to change her gloves she clearly told me she had not touched any meat with the gloves and continued to make my sandwich. J clearly had just seen her do otherwise.

I did not have the energy to continue so I just asked for condiment I wanted and paid so I could eat. I had not eaten all day and it was...

I ordered online. Clicked everything correctly. Had a girl from work pick up sandwich. Received sandwich with only the meat cheese and bacon. None of the veggies or sauce. Called to find out if I made a mistake. I was told the "new guy" thought all the check marks meant that the sub was not to have those items. They said they would put my name on a list for a free sub next visit. Went in 3 days later and was told there is no list that I needed to bring in a receipt proving I had visited this location. I knew it was this location because that's where the girl picked up the sandwich for me. They messed up my almost $10 sandwich and then have the nerve to put my name on a list that doesn't exist.
