Update I had the dinner and it was amazing, you gotta try the vodka sauce and the chicken franchise just amazing. I’m changing my review from a 4 star to a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Being born in New York you know we have a wide variety of eateries to choose from. I am spoiled since I was born in the Bronx and I am italian descent. I love going out to eat and trying new places for the first time. I can say “I am a food connoisseur when it comes to places to eat. I have tried places from North Jersey, Central Jersey, and South Jersey and even in South Philly. I have to say there are a lot of good places. But being that said, this was my first time eating at Mangia’s restaurant. When I first walked in the atmosphere is very nice and friendly staff. I really wasn’t sure what to order so I decided on a white broccoli slice. The taste was very good but the slice itself was soggy and very oily. Not sure if it was them not heating it enough or something else. But when I picked it up it wasn’t crispy and fell straight down when holding it. But I still eat it cause I was hungry. The counter person ask me if I liked my slice? I told him it was okay and explain what I didn’t like. He apologies, was very sweet and gave me an order of garlic knots on the house to make up for it. They smells so good that I couldn’t resist and had to try one. Well needless to say I eat them all 😂 wow where they the best I have ever had. Even the sauces was sooooo good I could drink it….lol They were just amazing and tasted like NY style knots. I gave them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for amazing customer service!!! I will return again and try a dinner...
Read moreThis has been my second trip here in a week. Trying two different dishes each time. My wife went with the fresh baked ziti (the ziti didn't make it for the whole picture), while I went with the capallini and vodka sauce this visit. Everything is made fresh in-house, and it shows.
This is a local family owned pizza and pasta resurant with something for every appetite. The atmosphere is quaint, and you feel like you're in your Nonna's kitchen with the portion sizes and quality. You will not leave hungry and have another meal for lunch the next day.
Give Mangia a try and enjoy a taste of Italy on this side...
