Tacos by the Shore — Restaurant in Middle Township

This place is fantastic! First off, the lady who took my order was wonderful. She was very professional and seemed like she had a good attitude. She explained the difference between regular tacos and street tacos, and what all comes on them, amazingly. Very pleasant getting my order taken from her. I got 4 barbacoa street tacos, a side of rice and beans and a drink. The food turned out to be excellent. Very tender meat. Very tasty. There was salsa on the side, which was decent, and 2 big pieces of lime enough for a little juice on each taco. Perfect. And the rice and beans were some of the best I’ve had, I loved the corn in the rice. My dad is from Mexico, so I’ve had my share of rice and beans. But to sum it up the food has to be above a 9 out of 10. Close to 10 out of 10 definitely. If I’m ever in town again I definitely won’t hesitate to go back. Street tacos were pretty good, the flavor was classic. I wish they had queso (white American cheese), they only have orange nacho cheese. That was very disappointing. I liked the salsa verde, it was made well. The guac also had good flavor but needs more garlic.

If you ask for anything extra they will charge $1 per item. This includes extra sour cream, extra lime, and probably anything extra you ask for. This was strange to me since we were eating in.

They will be very upset if you are there for any time after closing. They want to leave (not just lock the doors, but leave) EXACTLY at 8. That is a very strange practice. Did they even mop? Probably not since we didn't see it happen. That's how you get rats and roaches.
