Mattress Firm Rio Grande — Hotel in Middle Township

If I could title this review I would call it "Service Isn't Dead"!!

I went mattress shopping with my 78 year old mother and after looking at a couple other stores we found exactly what was looking for at Mattress Warehouse. Our sales agent Torey wasn't pushy and let my mother really take her time which I deeply appreciated. They started off by using a machine that is intended to assist finding the best mattress for you. Then, we looked at several different mattresses and weren't made to feel less then worthy of the salesman's attention because we didn't want the most expensive mattress they offered. Throughout the process we we made to feel entirely comfortable and at ease.

Additionally, I wanted to mention that my mother lost her glasses in the store. Unfortunately, we had to go and just asked Torey to try and keep on the look out for the glasses if he could. (effectively ruling out that the glasses would ever be found) to my surprise, I received a call from the store and it was Torey letting me know he had found them and we could pick them up at our next opportunity. I made it a point to call him and thank him for all of his efforts and for finding the glasses.

Nico, our salesman, was very personable and knowledgeable. He was able to show us many different mattress combos, and did not try to influence our decision. The store, however, did disappoint us in one small way. We wanted a headboard and footboard. This is apparently so rare that not only was it not in the computer as listed, but had to be discovered by several other means, including calling other agents who also were unable to assist, and told him that we would have to buy pieces; sides, footboard, slats, etc. separately. Nico asked several times if this were true. The computer did not have the parts. When we said just give us the headboard, Nico put that into the computer. He then told us that we would have to provide our own bolts for the headboard. From Lowe's. Across the street. He even called back to see if this were true. It was. I am astounded that a company that sells headboards that use "standard" bolts, could not have an easily located box of them. I truly did appreciate his grace "under pressure" as it were, and, I think, if he had been able to leave the store and get the bolts, he would...

We went for a medical bed with individual controls & Chris worked with us to make sure I was able to get in & out of the bed , Use controls & he made sure the height was just right & the mattresses were ones that would last a long time & despite some we liked, he showed us how they wouldn't hold up as good because the up & down motions needed might cause damage. He was very informative & very pleasantly answered all our questions. The beds will be delivered Monday, they will make sure I can operate the controls before leaving. We are so happy, they install & if needed, will take away the old ones. Somehow while finishing our deal food came up , he loves cookies & pies , his favorite is lemon meringues.
