Ferroni's Cafe & Coffee — Restaurant in Middlefield Township

I avoid this middlefield coffee shop unless the other local locations are closed. They have the best pastries and cakes, though!

Service is consistently and significantly slower than Allegro, C’s Cafe, and Coffee Corners. I’m not sure if that’s their equipment, or just a lack of a sense of urgency (small town coffee shops don’t necessarily need a sense of urgency, but the note is important for busy people and last-minute coffee stops).

They’re friendly enough once they notice you. I’ve never been greeted in the 6 times I’ve come in, yet I’ve only waited in line behind other patrons once. I’ve been served by the same few people besides the one time I waited in line, I think the baker or owner was working. The way she was talking to the guy in front of me about the cookies made me feel like she had greater stakes in the transaction.

I’m sure it’s not all the time, but every time I’ve been here the staff has been so engrossed in conversations behind the counter that I have to wave someone over after standing for moments to minutes. I’ve become less patient here every time, to the point where I’m not even 30 and i’m writing a Karen review. A quick acknowledgment or greeting of any type goes a long way in service and hospitality.

I tried a mobile order for the first time to avoid the things I dislike about this place that make me realize that I might not be the most patient person in the world:

Once I got halfway to the counter the two girls literally turned and started walking further away from the register without a smile or wave. The pickup shelf isn’t labeled well enough to notice where to get your order without assistance, so I STILL had to wave and ask for help. The smiles were huge when they “realized” they had a customer standing at the counter.

I don’t think I’m going to bother to give them a chance again… unless I really want an espresso brownie. If I need coffee after 3pm on a Saturday I’ll just drive to Burton or...

Lovely establishment paired with a pleasant staff. I get the Iced Mocha everytime I come in and you can tell it's made with love and care. They also come with a wide variety of flavorings to personalize your drink! The place is very clean everytime I arrive. They offer a wide variety of tasty treats as well to satisfy your sweet tooth. I highly suggest you check it out and tell all your friends/familly. When I worked retail I was big on customer service regardless of treatment from the public. So far every employee has given a pleasant experience. Give them raises! Please?!...
