I ordered the 3 classic combo meals. I walked in a guy is standing here ready to take our order I think his name was Brandon he had great customer service. But when we sat down to wait for our order we get our food and our Burgers we're all wrong there weren't many cooks but the two cooks that were there present go to Hispanic male and female older male female it seems like they don't understand English that well. 1st Little Classic Combo, I ordered a Double Cheese Bacon burger with tomato Lettuce Onions, Fried onions, mayo mustard, & ketchup. 2nd Little Classic was a regular 1 patty cheese burger with All The Way Toppings. Now this order was Correct. 3rd Little Classic Combo was cheeseburger with Only Ketchup. When I got the first little classic combo meal it did not have my fried onions on there or my onions. Now for the 3rd cheeseburger only that one came with everything on it. All of the meat seemed very well cooked but the bonds seem like they had just come out the refrigerator and was kind of hard and cold a little bit. I was really dissatisfied with this order with it being the second time at Five Guys in my entire life I decided to take my children to eat there for the first time. It's our order being $50 I expected differently I expected our meals to be 100% but it was not. The manager I guess Brandon walk so fast that you can't hardly catch him to tell him about the problem the issue here. I myself have went along with my two daughters on Monday on the East Towne Mall area of Madison and oh my gosh me eating there for the first time was a one everybody I took I just kept saying this is so good I can't believe this is so good that's what me and my daughters kept replying to each other. Now I'll have to tell her that I went to the other five guys over in Middleton which I was totally dissatisfied and I will not be going there again. My child did take his cheeseburger with ketchup which was only supposed to be cheese and ketchup took it back to the lady cook to tell her that it should be only cheese and ketchup and she did remake it with no problem. I had told her that two of our orders were wrong we would have had to wait in a long time again for our food to be remade so I just went on and ate. The fries were really great I love the fries I just wish I had what I ordered and paid for the fries were salty and good the atmosphere was great some of the tables could have been clean. What other thing I forgot to add is that Brandon their cashier he didn't ask what our preference would be if we wanted regular or cajun fries I didn't notice that until we've gotten our food already. Because I know at the other East Town area Five Guys the cashier did ask if we wanted a choice of cajun fries or regular fries, we didn't have a choice here at the...
Read moreFirst off, I love food, I should be about 100 pounds more than I am the way I eat. I'm far from a picky eater and moving to Madison WI was probably the best thing I've done because the food here is so amazing. Hell I even like McDs chicken nuggets, that should tell you of my standards lol.
So I've always heard the hype and how good this place was yadda yadda yadda and finally drove from McFarland over to try it out.
Too long didn't read: I got the same experience buying a baconator combo from Wendy's at almost half the cost. I got the same experience buying a bacon double cheeseburger from Culvers, at a little over half the cost.
I don't get why people think this place is so amazing. I'm assuming it's the hive mind hype train effect that plagues video games too?
Seriously, the price they charge for their food is outrageous. It cost me 14 bucks for a bacon cheeseburger (had two burger patties on it) a small fry and a small drink. It wasn't gross but it also wasn't no 14 dollar meal. You can literally go to the Vintage Brewing Company, Hubbard Ave Diner or Monty's Blue Plate diner and get that same "fresh beef" experience with a significantly better taste and about the same price if not a buck or two cheaper. They could probably lower the prices a buck or two if they invested in some plastic trays instead of serving everything in brown paper bags including the people who eat there.
The burger? Was it good? Yes. It was better than going to McDonald's but it seriously ends there. The fries? Ya, they're better than Culver's and Wendy's but not by much.
If you live by a Culver's or Wendy's, forget the hype of 5 Guys and just go to one of those two. If you wanna spend the same price and go to a sit down, go to the ones I listed earlier.
I'll never go back to this place. I understand why they put it on the West Side and not East, they'd lose business over here with those prices.
I've only been to one place here in Madison since I moved here that I legit felt like I wanted my money back. After eating at 5 guys, that amount went to 2 places.
Anyone who says this place has the best burgers in Madison hasn't been to the large plethora of places here in Madison that have fresh beef from local WI farmers delivered to them, which is damn near every Madison area restaurant.
Hell, I recently discovered Koffee Kup in Stoughton. About the same amount of a drive. I got a cod fish dinner with a baked potato, fresh as hell cod, and a thing of homeade applesauce and a drink...
Read more0 kajun. Today is the second time I have attempted to get kajun fries in the past 2 days. The whole experience when ordering made me lose my appetite and order because my kids wanted their oreo shake. Anyway, when I tried to order the kajun fries, I was told there were none. I asked when they would have them, and the employee was unsure. Another customer comes in... a woman.... a white woman and asks about her pickup order. She was told sorry, but we don't have any kajun fries. We are really sorry. Is there anything else we can do for you or any way we can compensate you? She says no and waits for the rest of her food. One of the employees asks another what's up with the kajun fries, at which time the manager overhears the 2 employees and asks what the question was. Anyway, the manager explains to the employee when they don't have something, they offer the customer something to compensate. I'm standing here over hearing all this and realizing I wasn't offered any compensation and had to pry out of the manager WHEN I could possibly come back for the kajun fries. So I walk up and say, "Excuse me, did I just hear you tell your employee when you don't have something you're supposed to compensate the customer. He said yeah I said, that's funny."" I had that same exact issue and wasn't offered anything 2 days in a row." The manager gonna say would you like to be compensated. No, that's not the point. The point is I literally had the same issue 3 minutes earlier and was basically brushed off to a shipping issue. That it would be on the Monday shipment and offered nothing, but when the lady comes 8n asking for the same, they were bending over backward. THEN, the regular fries I did earlier, a large and small where NOT THE NORMAL FIVE GUYS SERVINGS. Anyone that has worked or ate there knows they give you many fries so many that they would almost be falling out the bag thus place act like they where on they last sack and had to divide it evenly amongst...
