So so so disappointed! I just placed a pickup order and the woman placed my order incorrectly in the system so I ended up with only one lonely looking french toast rather than three that are supposed to come with the Grande French Toast order. When I called about this, I was told “oh sorry, you said you wanted just one french toast so I got confused.” I didn’t even know ordering just one french toast was possible. I literally said one order of the Grande French Toast. On top of that, the french toast did not come with syrup, butter, or anything like it says online it would. Lastly, I ordered a skillet and the presentation was absolutely horrendous with barely any melted cheese and what definitely looked like just one egg instead of two but I was told the eggs get measured out beforehand. We have taken out and dined in so many times here before and always recommend it to friends, but it was so embarrassing serving this food to our guest today. I didn’t know placing an order at 1:54 PM (they close at 3) meant that I would get sub-par service for this takeout order. We had my brother pick it up who has never been or eaten at Turning Point before so he assumed the order was correct as is. Edited to add: I asked for the itemized receipt from the manager of the store who sent it to me. She said I was only charged for one french toast which on the menu says the Grand French Toast (that come in a set of three I was told on the phone) is $11. So why was I charged $4.50 for one slice even though $11/3 = $3.66? Horrible service. Updated as of 04/25/24: Was asked to email their corporate team for a chance to have my bad experience be made right. It’s been over ten days with no response, despite a follow-up email a few days ago as well.

Ok, so this place has fresh food with quality ingredients and very very light to no seasoning, however, the ingredients made it harmoniously work. Now here is my honest review: I ordered the key west omelette, which was shrimp, avocado, bacon, tomato, etc and it was good! I did omit the avocado and after eating it, I recommend trying it without the shrimp too because the shrimp was barley cooked and this took away me enjoying it completely. I also DONT recommend the “French Toast” as it was more like toast that browned on both sides, no cinnamon, sugar, spice or NOTHING whatsoever nice and it had the nerve to also be extremely soggy on the inside, yuck! Ok, on a lighter note, for those of you who like to sip on rich hot chocolate or coffee drinks, they have a list of cute specialty drinks that are delicious, you won’t regret it(see pic) Overall, I had to give Turning Point 4 stars because although my food was bland, it was fresh ingredients, served hot and had a clean family environments however my server wasn’t so great. Upon my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Stefano who upon hearing about my 1st time experience, took it upon himself to go above and beyond for my party and I showing us great customer service and hospitality! The menu is so extensive, there are more dishes to try and I am excited to return for a better experience and new choice of entree!

This was our first time here. When we got there, it was during a peak time for lunch. However, the staff was attentive and friendly and we were greeted and seated very quickly. The menu had a wonderful selection including vegetarian/vegan items. We both ordered the White Orchard tea while we perused the menu choices. When the tea was brought out, we each got our own small white china teapot of hot water and a cup on a saucer with a little white paper doily and a short wooden stick with raw amber colored sugar on it to dip into the tea to sweeten it. (See my photo.) I then ordered a vegetable omelet and chose the potatoes instead of the salad option to go with it. The omelet had broccoli, mushrooms, shredded carrots, finely chopped zucchini and a blend of two cheeses. (I asked to have them leave out the onions that normally go with it and it was no problem.) There was also a nice muffin that came with the meal. The food came out quickly and the portions were generous and delicious. I definitely recommend you try this place. We will be going back to try out some of the other items.

November 12 I walked into the store in Media and placed an order for take out. The girl was pleasant, the place seemed clean and I waited for a little over 10 minutes to get my order which wasn't too bad. I specifically asked if the cinnamon roll pancakes was a full stack, (3). She said yes. When my wife and I got home and sat down to eat, there were only 2 pancakes and they were very small. There was only one little container of syrup, no butter and NO sweet cream cheese which is what makes the cinnamon roll so appealing. Now my wife is disappointed and we're off to a bad start. Moving on to my meal. My first bite of the "Roadhouse Bacon Stack" was full of only onions. Next bite was full of onions and some cheese. The onions were very strong and overwhelming so I opened the sandwich and found there was NO BACON AT ALL. How can this be a bacon sandwich without the "THICK CRISPY BACON" that they described on the menu? Did they load the sandwich with extra onions to hide the fact that there wasn't any bacon on it? This wasnt a difficult order, but they shorted us a third of the very small pancakes, no butter, one little container of syrup and none of the sweet cream cheese that they tell you about. And they didn't put ANY BACON ON A BACON SANDWICH. Sometimes the little things are forgotten but st least the basic ingredients need to be used! If I ordered a hot dog, would they serve just the bun, maybe a small packet of ketchup? Do they serve coffee cup with just cream and sugar, and forget the coffee? If you order a bagel, do they send out just one of the halves? But when the check comes, do they forget to charge for anything, absolutely not! Within a couple of minutes of discovering the problems with our food, I found the number and called but it was 2:48, and they close at 2:30 or 3:00. I wrote a message to them on their website explaining everything and gave them my name, 2 phone numbers, and my email address. It's been 2 weeks and I still haven't heard anything from them. Since they didn't want to respond to me privately, maybe now they'll respond to my online review. How important is one customer's experience?

4 days after they said someone would be in contact, they still haven't...

Short review: Disgusting, horrible management, cold food, unpleasant experience, better locations of this chain restaurant, short staff/overworked staff. Much better brunch restaurants in the area before considering this place. Complete disappointment compared to other locations.

I literally just left the place for brunch with my husband. I am from NJ originally and have gone to other turning point locations. This location was completely disgusting. I don't normally write reviews, but felt it is necessary. We did the wait-list and that worked out fine. They texted that they were ready for us. When we walked in, the manager was standing right there holding the tablet for the table assignments. She had her back toward us and completely didn't acknowledge us at first. The waiting area wasn't even crowded, she just was too consumed in making table assignments at the time to give 2 sec to say 'Hello, we will be with you in 1 second'. The other girl was helping another customer to their table. The manager finally after 5min acknowledged us and didn't even apologize for not noticing us at first. She then proceeded to lead us to the table. We got to the table and my husband and I immediately noticed all the trash on the floor underneath the table (straw wrappers, crumbs, chewed up remnants of food, etc). It was disgusting and very noticeable. Wish I took a picture of the floor, but it was nasty. Manager didn't say anything and walked away. The table was still slightly wet from being wiped down. The whole ordering process was adequate. The timing for drink and food was fine. The water had an odd odor to it. My glass had some smudges and didn't look like it was properly washed. Waitress and manager would pass our table, but never asked how we were doing. Our food ended up being cold when we got it. We ended up just asking for our check once the waitress finally came back to us after we ate. In other words, look into other locations in the area for brunch and there are other Turning Point locations that are better...

This is my first time here & I have to say although I liked the food our server Lilly could have been way happier, welcoming, attentive and more energetic… To start, we ordered the cold brew which for being 4.50 I asked if it was free refills & was told & shown by waitress’ approximate hand measurement that it was big enough that a refill wouldn’t be needed. because she wasn’t even sure if it was free refill or not. on top of this it was supposed to not be bitter as stated on menu “no bitterness”, i love coffee & i’m pretty familiar with it & honestly it was so bitter not even sugar helped. Also i decided to add cold foam to coffee and was warned about the extra $0.50 charge but not informed that adding cold foam means the cold brew it now made in a glass half the size.. ironic since it’s more expensive. The food was pretty good as mentioned earlier but if i’m being honest $4.30 for turkey bacon when the plate came with 3 pieces was extreme. it didn’t even look or taste like turkey bacon. $13.50 for the huevos rancheros is not the move as even though it was pretty in appearance, it was labeled as grande on the menu and half the size of other restaurants that charge less. did not taste like it was worth all the $$ either. The food here is decent but the pricing is simply too much. To consider coming here again, I know now to bring more money as breakfast for two costed $50. two dishes & bacon & coffee… outrageous :). To end, the waitress seemed uneducated about the restaurant & menu as any question we asked her since being a first customer was barely able to answered. When it came time to pay, it was obvious the waitress was just waiting to get her tip as she kept walking by staring & asking if we were good or ready. As being a server myself, i know that is rude & counting your tips out in the open on the counter is a flat out no (which was also done during our meal time). ps. you want something less expensive go to Nudy’s which is 10x...
