I just wanted to share my horrible experience today at this UPS location. Yesterday I had stopped by to ship back my work from home equipment to my former employer as I have taken a new position. The gentleman who worked last night 4/12/2021 if I could rate him 10 stars I would. He kindly explained to me that my job had prepaid for shipping labels (which I was unaware of) and that they came in the boxes when the equipment was originally shipped to me. He explained that he would take care of the 3 boxes that had labels yesterday and that I should go home and find the other labels and stop by tomorrow after work to ship the rest that way I didn’t have to pay out of pocket to ship the equipment back. Today I arrived as planned to ship the rest of the equipment back 4/13/2021 and the gentleman who worked tonight threw an absolutely hissy fit that I walked in at 6pm with 4 boxes to ship, complaining about how it would have to be done in individual transactions, and that it was ridiculous I would show up so late. I kindly explained to the gentleman who I believe his name was Gary, I am not 100 percent sure as I was upset about the attitude he displayed towards me, that I work 8am-5:30pm Monday through Friday and the only time I could come is straight after work. He then proceed to continue with his attitude and even started being rude to the people in the now small line of 3 people behind me. Now mind you when I arrived I was the only customer in the store. The attitude displayed was absolutely appalling, and I have never seen someone speak to a customer let alone treat a customer the way he did tonight. I literally started crying as I was trying to finish up as quickly as possible with him because he made me feel like i was a bad person for showing up at 5:50-6:00 when they closed at 6:30. I will never return to this UPS again. He also threw my packages with no care or regard, and became even more rude when I asked him not to do so as those packages contained computer monitors. My fiancé is a prominent business man in the media area as well and has advised will no longer be using this location, and will be telling everyone he knows of the rude EMPLOYEE (possibly owner/manager) who made me cry. All I wanted to do was ship back my equipment, and what should of been an easy transaction (it took maybe 15mins tops) turned into an entire fiasco. I am the last person who ever wants to complain about someone to their job as I understand we all have bad days, and people need their jobs to support their families or lifestyles. But the way this gentleman acted tonight was completely unacceptable and I have never witnessed a more unprofessional, rude customer service person in my entire life. This guy literally took it out on me because he had to do his job. This guy definitely should consider a new line of work. If you are wondering who the gentleman was again I can’t remember his name due to being upset but I do remember it was short and began with a G on his name tag, possibly Gary?, he was in his mid 40s-50s tall, balding with short gray hair...
Read moreJust wanted to share my experience today at the UPS store next to Granite Run. I arrived around 6, about 30 min prior to closing. There were 5 people in line. I immediately noticed the sole employee working was agitated. There was a young lady at the counter and the employee was visibly upset with processing her shipment, including throwing her boxes as he printed labels. (Having read the newest reviews, Ashley Garner, I should have spoken up then). The next customer was making Amazon returns and this worsened the employees mood. He stated loudly, “Doesn’t anyone return amazon at Kohl’s anymore.” Not that this behavior would be acceptable regardless of who it was directed at but I would be remiss if I did not point out the customer was in scrubs. I don’t care how bad of a day this UPS employee was having, I can pretty much guarantee it would never compare to a healthcare worker’s day. Skip to 3 customers left... Employee says, “Drop offs to the front. Nobody knows what this means so we all stare. Employee, with considerable annoyance, explains that he would like to take customers dropping off packages instead of other services. The young girl ahead of me has amazon returns. The employee, again becomes visibly agitated, begins to talk to himself about Kohl’s. He says to the young lady, “Well, give me your first code.” Scans it, grabs the bag from her hands, and throws it on the counter. He repeats this for all of her returns. This young lady might have been 20 years old at most and did not deserve the hostility that was directed at her. This was too much and I had words with said employee. I regret not speaking up from the very first interaction I witnessed. To Ashley and the young lady in front of me, this behavior did not go unnoticed. I will never use this location again because of what I saw you deal with. That employee/owner is a miserable person. 5 years of the same reviews should be pretty decent evidence that he has an issue with his job and neither of you did anything to deserve the treatment...
Read moreI will not be using this UPS location in the future. I was in on 8/21/2020 and the gentleman working, who I've had previous unpleasant experiences with, was at it again. This time he was not exactly rude to me, although he was not particularly friendly either, but he was extremely rude to the patron in front of me. He seems to get an attitude if you have too many items to address and makes rude comments as he handles your transaction. The last time I was in this location, I was tempted to reach out to management due to how rude he was, but decided not to bother, maybe he was just having a bad day. NOPE! Unless he has lots of bad days. I would also like to mention that the patron ahead of me, just as I had in my previous visits, responded to the employee with nothing but kindness as he continued to be rude throughout the transaction. Especially during this time, when we're all dealing with the extra stressors of covid, people should be trying extra hard to be kind and pleasant to one another. The previous staff was always so kind & friendly. Where did they go?! I use this location because it located close to where I work a few days a week and it was convenientfor me to handle everything during my work day. My last few visits have been so unpleasant that I will now be going to one of the locations closer to my home in West Chester and will not be patronizing this...
