On April 13 at 4:17 PM I ordered a fish, fries, onion rings and asked for extra tartar & cocktail sauce. When I got to the window I reminded the guy before paying and then asked again after receiving the order, "'did you give me my tartar & cocktail sauce" and was told yes.
When I got home, no tartar sauce. Who eats fish without tartar sauce?. I called and informed the guy that answered the phone, that I wanted my money back or bring me my tartar sauce. With an attitude, he asked for the order number. I told him order #12, and with a nasty attitude he stated, you''re lying, we don't even have an order #12.
I enformed him that he just lost a regular customer, with some other choice words added. That myself and my family will never purchase there again and hung up.
I have my ticket, order # 12 at the top. Instead of returning with ticket to show proof, I will drive to Kingfish on River Road before purchasing from Moby Dick again. They show you the food and condiments before placing them in the bag and they do not staple the bags up so you can't find items missing until you drive 4.5 miles to home or rip the bag open and go thru it while at the window.
Oh, I forgot, that stupid mega phone that they have for a speaker to order food would be a joke if my ears weren't...
Read moreThere is nothing worse then sitting in a drive thru for 20 minutes or more & then sent away with half your order missing. & this is after not 1, but 3 people have repeated your order back to you including the one handing it out the window. The bag is stapled shut so you trust that they got it right. NEVER TRUST! Once I realized I had driven home without enough food to feed the fam, I was pretty upset. I called the store to complain & tell them I didn’t get all my items. They ask for my ticket #, but still need to know what I ordered. The manager said I could drive back & they would give me the items that were missing or the next time I visit they would add on those times. Really that’s your solution???Who wants to drive back to a restaurant after having spent 20+ minutes in line. I told her she should refund my money. She said she couldn’t do that because I had gotten food. Yes, I know I got food but not everything I had paid for. What about my time is that not worth anything? Completely disappointed with how this situation was handled. Plus the size of the fish pieces I did receive were really, really small. All I can say is thank goodness for cereal. & yes, I will go back but only to get the money they owe me. Terrible, terrible...
Read moreI purchased the sandwich that comes with two filets of cod on bread. Now, I'm a kind of guy who likes to eat his filets of cod without bread. At another location very close-by, they have a sick deal for fellas like me: They will give you one hushpuppy (a 30-cent value according to their menu) in place of your bread if you don't want it. That's pretty awesome to me. So, I pull up, try to get my hushpuppy bonus, but sadly, they don't offer that at this location. I begged the guy working there, but nope. Won't do it. I tried to explain the situation, but apparently the owner of the store just simply won't let them do it. So I went ahead and got my filets of cod (and took the bread just to incur the couple of cents it will cost the owner) and decided not to ever visit this establishment again for any reason. If they are going to be so greedy they can't give me a hushpuppy instead of two pieces of bread, then they aren't worthy of my wallet. While I did feel the food was high enough quality to warrant a slightly higher than 1-star rating, the owner's greed is deserving of a negative rating, which averages out to...
