I hope others will be considerate of the fact that this is a new store which is currently getting slammed by a hoard of zombies needing their coffee fix plus treats. We also need to be mindful that an occasional customer will drive through with a large order for a small office when they could have called ahead and went inside. For those thinking they could get through a new store drive-thru with newly trained workers in under 5 minutes I would say, "Poor planning on your part does not constitute and emergency for anyone else." For others that received bad orders I hope the store will work harder and do better as the customer deserves better and we want you and your team to be successful. On to my experience: This morning I allowed plenty of time to get to work knowing everyone in Shelbyville would be hitting the new store. The car line ran around three sides of the building and out to the road. The parking lot was full to the point that I'm feeling sorry for the two medical offices next door. With all that said, I ordered the Duncan Double which is a double sausage, egg and cheese beagle with a dark roast coffee (super tasty). The sandwich was ready in less than a minute and I had to wait for a fresh brew. I guess I could critique them not having a pot ready or I could realize it was going out the door as fast as they could make it and plan my time accordingly. I love having a high quality beagle sandwich store here in Shelbyville and believe once the newly trained workers get their rhythm and team work going the rest of us will enjoy the added variety in...
Read moreI haven't been to Dunkin' in years, but I got a gift card for Christmas so I figured I'd see if there's anything new I'd like.
I asked the order taker to bear with me since I needed to look at the menu, but she kept trying to get me to order quickly. Personally I think this is more a sign that the employees are being too strictly timed with orders, since I know that a timer starts as soon as my vehicle reaches the speaker. If the lobby was open I would have gone in instead but it was late.
I ordered an iced mocha and the turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. The coffee had a powdery feel to it, though I couldn't tell if it was bits of coffee grounds or the mocha syrup. The turkey sausage was extremely bland, which was only made worse by the lack of flavor of the egg and cheese as well. The muffin was too toasted and actually scraped the roof of my mouth. Overall, the sandwich could have at leasted used some salt or pepper somewhere.
Overall this was a generally unpleasant experience, and I do not plan on going back to Dunkin' if this is the kind of food...
Read moreI work nearby and I like to use the DD rewards program, so I go here often. I've learned only to go only on days when I have a lot of time to spare and to have no expectations for the order.
My order is often wrong and the food can either be over or under cooked. The coffee usually tastes good, but it's always a toss up when it comes to accuracy.
The wait time for the drive thru is unbelievable. I have on several occasions waited in line for at least 20 minutes and many time I have had to drive away without ordering at all because the wait was too long.
The drive thru is closed in by a cement curb, so once you reach a certain point in line you're completely stuck, which can be agonizing when you're stuck in one of those incredibly long waits.
The turnover seems to be very high, so I have always assumed this is a management problem. I keep going back because it's convenient and most of the time I order coffee and it comes out alright (even if the fixings are wrong.) I wish this location could undergo some serious training to...
