Fricker's Middletown — Restaurant in Middletown

Overall, if you want something akin to a bar scene (music, crowd voices, lots of alcohol) then this would be your jam. I was in town for a more somber occasion and wanted to try something different. It was different.

This place was an okay place to eat. Our food tasted fine and our waitress kept our drinks filled. It was quite crowded though. The music was so loud we had to yell at one another to converse. Sadly, the young child in the booster seat at the table next to us kept his ears covered most of the time they were there.

We were told to seat ourselves. There was only 1 table available and it needed bussed so we got the hostess to clean it. After waiting an hour and noticing that the people who came in after us had already eaten and left my mom yelled for our waitress. My mom has a tone to match her RBF so she sounded mad but that's just her normal voice amplified to be heard over the loud music. A few minutes the manager came out and said he was going to be honest, our waitress had forgotten to place the order. She realized her mistake and came to him crying. He comped our food, which was much appreciated. He was really nice, as was our waitress when she returned with refills. His honesty saved him from the tongue lashing I saw my mom preparing for when we got a canned answer. She was a good waitress, despite her mistake, and from what I saw she never stopped moving so I believe she genuinely just got overwhelmed. I hope her day improved. I'm sorry for my mom...

I had a very terrible experience. My daughter and I visited on October 18, 2023 around 530pm. Only 8 people at the bar. Did not see anyone eating food. There were 8 tables occupied. A waitress took our drink order. We ordered two Pepsis. We ask her to come back for our food order. This was our second time coming to this place. The waitress took our order. An order of chicken chunks, mini corn dogs, a dinner salad, and an order of mini sliders. Then a couple comes in about 10 minutes after we ordered our food. They received their appetizers their meals while we at this time waited 30 minutes without any food, the waitress coming back to state your food is coming, or asking us if we want refills. Not good. As my daughter and I were leaving, the waitress ask how can she help us. I told her we were leaving due to her inattentiveness and people getting their appetizer and food after being seated after us. All she said I am sorry. She did not try to offer us anything to make us stay to make it up to us like saying let me speak to my manager. Not a thing. Also the floor was sticky. HORRIBLE! I can't believe how bad it was!

8 people at table... 3 got food and 5 didn't. Staff brings out one more meal 10 minutes later, then 20 minutes from that we get 2 more meals. so that is 6 of 8 that got their food. Final 2 people get their food after requesting to speak to a manager an HOUR later.

But wait there's more... the 7th person that got food that they didn't order with the server making the statement "I grabbed what was in the window so that you could have something. I know it's not what you ordered, here."

We asked to speak with manager again and waited another 20 minutes. Then I got out of my seat and went to counter to see the manager. He was standing there and explained that he would come and talk with me.

After VERY calmly and VERY politely speaking with the manager he explained he would get the final order for us.

8th person still had not gotten his food. Once he did, took one bite only to find that the food was RAW!

Sadly, the 8th person in this story was me. I picked up my food and walked straight back to the kitchen and asked the manager if he would be willing to eat...
