La Carreta Tacos y Tortas — Restaurant in Middletown

Wow! It's amazing how long you can live in a place and still discover gems like this. I visited La Carreta Tacos y Tortas for the first time last week and was impressed with the quality, taste and authenticity of their food. The atmosphere is, eh ..but it's a gas station so that's ok. That's what's expected. I went for the food, not the atmosphere. Don't let the fact that it's located in a gas station put you off trying it. Their surf and turf burrito was delicious. I am definitely making this place a regular stop...

This is my 2nd time trying out La Carreta Tacos y Tortas and again impressed with the quality and taste of their food. This time, we bought lunch for our office staff. All were impressed. One of our team members said "I haven't had Mexican food that good since I went to Cancun, and stopped at some of the local shops there". Look, the place is at a gas station. But you're going to get over that, because you're about to enjoy some of the best damn Mexican food ever. I drive by it almost every week and didn't even realize it was there. It's one of my new favorite places now. The tortilla chips taste and look like they're fresh made, the food is excellent flavor, delicious, and overall amazing....
